Let me apologize for the brief report but I'm tired.

So I called her up and set up a date at her Natick location. Easy to find, right off of route 9. 2 call setup, thats easy. Met her at the door and asked her if I could take a shower because I just got off work and was tired and pretty ripe. It makes me wonder if it was a type of LEO tactic. Get someone on the text to explain exactly what they want and how much. The next thing you know you are doing a perp walk to a cruiser or being ripped off by a person as soon as you show up.

I know some people will say, I did not follow through, so how could I report, or that I am being overly paranoid. No, it is not that, I just want to warn people that they coud end up wasting their time and frustrated on text messages.

However, it has been my experience that anytime they use Yahoo or AOL Messenger for contact, they are directing you to website rather than actually giving you their info. Generally speaking, its usually a SCAM.

Based on that, I would avoid like the plague.

I finally figured a relatively easy way of separating out the scammers. All I did was reply with a canned but polite message. The scammers almost always have an auto-reply that includes a link to a website, and their automated replies come back almost immediately. So it's easy to work through a couple dozen email messages fairly quickly.

It's amazing how many scammers are there under multiple names, and send back exactly the same auto-reply.

Anyone who asks you for any of these things for "privacy" or "screening" is a scam. Don't go for the "just register for this cam site" or "just give your CC number for verification".

These are all scams, none of them is real.

Make sure they didn't register you through your cell for any recurring charges.
