In car you can get lucky and cross 30 minutes (if lucky and depending on time of day) or 3-4 hours to cross not including your drive home. So something to think about. I made a trip during the middle of last week. I just splurged for the HK shuttle from the airport because it totally saved me from all the normal delays and time to go through Ped East.
