I'm getting married in Oct. And for my bachelor party my Best Man wants to get me a stripper of my choice. We use to go to the clubs years ago but once they started disappearing we lost hope. I still remember my first dance at the Playground and how I always thought it was funny you had to go in then outside and back in to get to the action, but dam you couldn't beat $5 cover/$5 dances. Specially when you making retail money in college haha. But anway, hoping you guys can help me track down a stripper I use to faithfully spend all my money on. Don't know her real name but her stage name was butta or butter. She was a real light skinned thick chick, curly hair and looked almost puerto rican and had a REAL soft ass. When I met her she was dancing at the Keg on Haverford, the last dance I got from her was when they moved over near walnut st. Haven't been able to track her down since.

Any help would be greatly appreciated haha.

I used to have her number and my old phone was lost. Ill keep my eye out for you. I last saw her at NOB right before they got raided. AAhhh memories of the Playground....that was a great dirty...gully style club..... I almost got sot outside of thet club... but thats what happens when u go deep....

I use to always wonder why my homie would keep dancers numbers in his phone. Always thought he was crazy, now I can see why, and best believe if I find her she will go right in the phone.

The playground was my first and will always hold a special place in my heart (until I find out about this brazilian spot haha).

$5 to get in and $5 for dances. FYI they open around 2PM or maybe earlier and close at about 10:30 or a little later.

I remember the Playground, I had a couple of good times there. A freind told me it was raided years ago. I got to check out the Outer Space Club when I get a chance.

What is it about looking at SW's that makes my heart just dance with glee?. I even like many of the skanky ones---that's no big shocker to to some of you here :)

Davey1965 is M.I.A.

His last post was on 5/2/10.

I tried to PM him, and got the response "Davey1965 has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her." In addition, his profile has been blocked from view. This at least would have shown whether he has been logging in recently.

Davey is the all-time high poster in this forum, and he also, in my opinion, was the all-time best poster. His knowledge and insightful reports were hugely helpful to novice and pro alike.

Davey has cut back on his reports in recent years. I know he was disillusioned with moderation or lack thereof in the Philadelphia threads. I suspect there were other issues that he perhaps didn't care to mention publicly.

I hate to lose a resource like this. Davey are you there? Does anyone have any information on him?

I think it was his last outburst about questionable picture posting of a Philly board member. I think that has been handled to some extent. Saying anymore than that is probably too much, so if you need more info PM me.

For the most part, Philly means "the K" or Kennsington Avenue for a long stretch . If you checked the maps from the link that was sent by Cephlapod Love, you'll see maps posted by Fbtom on 11-05-09. It shows the K stroll running from Front Street (its not a "T" intersection, Front Street bends and that's where Kennsington begins) up to Erie Ave-Torresdale Ave. That's a run of about 2 miles and the whole way, you will be driving under the elevated train (the "El"). For my own part, I seldom drive past Venango.

For a newbie to the K, here is some important advice.

First, do the K during daylight hours. Many mongers report that the K gets dicey after dark.

Second, get to know the area. Drive the whole length of the K a couple of time just to get a sense of it and where the main cross streets are.

Third, you have to keep a low profile. Don’t pick up directly on the K, make eye contact, nod and turn a corner to let her in on a side street. And NEVER make a “U turn” on the K because its illegal and you’ll stand out. If you need to circle back, do so. However, be aware that there are lots of one way streets on the streets around the K so it is almost always impossible to quickly circle a block. Its very frustrating when you see a honey and you want to circle back to her. You will have to go several blocks just to get back to where you were. Many times she’ll still be there, just as often she won’t but your impatience and zeal to get to her will get you in trouble so just be assured that there are many other fish in that sea. Be cool. Accept the difficulty of the terrain and don’t try to speed around those narrow back streets and side streets.

Fourth, you have to develop a new sense of “hoedar” to spot the SWs on the K. The K is a busy commercial street, not some out of the way industrial area where any female on the street is an SW. They are not flashy, not dressed in classic SW outfits and very few wave at cars. BTW, stay away from those who do wave at cars or call out to you as you drive by. On the K the SWs look like civilians so be careful. Most are dressed in street clothes and non-mongers won’t even notice them. Some stand in one place for a long time, others walk several blocks then walk back several blocks but never stay still for too long. On your first few drives of the K you may think there is nothing out there but then you’ll start to notice. If you are an experienced monger, you’ll see many out there almost any hour of the day. They usually look into every car that passes if there is only one male passenger.

Fifth, read this forum and read it thoroughly. The advice I gave here related only to the physical layout of the K but you should also know prices (far below what you are expecting if you are from NYC) and safety rules (some of the SWs out there are definite trouble).

However, twelve years or so ago—several reforms ago—Philly PD stopped me, searched my car, and delivered me a moralistic lecture about the evils of mongering. The cop said he stopped me for making a U-turn, but he would be a nice guy and not give me a ticket. I checked, and found that U-turns are, indeed, legal in PA, except where prohibited. In recent years, no visit to the K has gone without having to wait for some clown to make a dangerous U-turn, backing up once or twice in the process, or stopping in the middle of the street to let someone out, etc. These days, the PD just ignores it. While I agree that doubling back over side streets is good technique, U-turns have their place in our tool kit.

By the way, I suspect that there is some LE decoy activity on the K. I have seen apparent SWs who are too well dressed and too confident, and I cautiously kept back. `Just an impression—I don't know this for a fact.

OK, some tongue-in-cheek stuff - encouraged by PM hi-jinx.

I've been reading the Philly boards for quite some time - and I must say that the depth and breadth of mongering knowledge here is first rate. Shoot one can learn the basics, all the way up to a PhD level just by reading the advice so generously posted.

So I got to thinking, perhaps there is a need for educating newbies? Yeah, I know - thinking - that's above my pay grade... but anyway perhaps someone should start a "university" of Mongering Sciences? Surely those like SE, Cookie, Fbtom and others are qualified to teach at said august school.

[u] Geography 400 [/u] - Hotels - finding the higher class, short-stay friendly, off stroll beds for extended dates. Approaching hotel management.

[u]Visual Arts 300/800[/u] - Differentiating the civies from the SW, specific provider recognition from the photo archives.
Also available for graduate credit - one will be required to recall reviews, proclivities and physical attributes from photo layouts.

[u]Business 150[/u] - Negotiating Tactics for fun and BJs, when .5$ is too much. Why the "LE check" isn't all you should do.

[u]Business 250[/u] - Money Management [rule of 5ths], indoor pricing, when to keep your socks on. When to walk out/away.

[u]Community Relations 100[/u] - How to handle pimps, wackos and LE stops.

[u]Community Relations 500[/u] - How, when, where to toss that dangerous girl out of the car.

[u]Food Sciences 220[/u] - where to find food on the K, the value of being a regular at DD. When to feed and when not to feed.

[u]Health & Safety 100[/u] - basics on STD transmission, risk factors of mongering, when to "go bare," proper post puzzy tool cleaning, identification of sores, diseases, etc.

[u]Hospitality Management 201[/u] - how to assemble a killer SW "gift kit," standard mongering supplies, toy kit bag discussed for extra credit.

[u]Multi-Culturalism 500[/u] - How to identify a T-girl, finding transgender "girls", questions to ask, how to check the anatomy

[u]Pharmacy 600[/u] - How to handle the girl who wants to cop or who brings party supplies with her

[u]Photography 100[/u] - lighting, flash usage, focus, zoom, picture composition, how to pose your models, standard poses for best gynecological study, how to post pics on USASG

[u]Laboratory 999[/u] - "hands-on" training or "live laboratory" time guided by a savvy, experienced instructor. Note: requires successful completion of numerous prerequisites [Geog 101, Bus 150 & 250, Health 101, Pharm 600]. Usually booked for a premium fee.

OK who's going to "step up" and claim the title of Professor?
