In the interests of full disclosure, Julia texted me again today. She insists she didn't intend to extort me. Even IF this is true and it accidentally happened, here are my issues. Her ad is phony and she upcharges. She claims she doesn't have a car which makes taking keys by accident even harder to believe. I'll start with a quick summary and get into more details after. Long story short she passed out like a minute into the BBBJ and I walked because there is no way I'm messing with someone who is passing out in the middle of things. She then has the audacity to demand payment still.

There was no mention of CashApp in the ad, or else I would have known for certain up front that it was a scam. I already figured it was, but played along using my texting apps just to see how far the scam went. Giving me a fake address based on the zip code I gave them was an extra effort on their part. Them asking for the zip code up front via text was another huge red flag. I feel bad for anyone who lives at those addresses they give out if anyone is fool enough to fall for it.

They are pretty quick to give an address. They said they wanted CashApp but didn't ask for payment before giving the address. My guess is to help sell the scam. Told them I was on my way, when really I never left, I get a text 10 minutes later asking where I am. I telling them I'm out front but their was no answer. Then they said they wanted 50% of the rate before answering the door.

I did this via 2 different numbers I use. After I left them hanging on the second one, when they asked where I was I told them "at the police station filing a report, scammer". So far they have not posted any fresh ads since then.
