While you may look down upon them for what they do, others may look down upon you for what you do. Would it then be alright for those people who look down upon you to commit a violent crime against you? I would hope that someone would be your advocate in the same way that Chester is trying to protect these girls.

I have to concur with samedi69's report on Lincoln Ave. I was driving south on Lincoln, around 1:30am sunday morning. I saw a girl walking on Lincoln a couple blocks south of Peterson. She gave me the nod.

I didn't stop nor did I circle around to get another look, as there was a cop car travelling about a block behind me...I didn't want to risk being noticed as there were few cars around. When I did finally circle back, she was gone. I made a couple more passes but no luck.

I am very careful. I do not want to be hurt so I ask for some information before seeing someone. Granted, that may not always work but it has so far. I always go by gut instinct also. However, people generally hide the fact if they are a rapist or something.

You're right on two fronts. I think we have another troll in our midst and the street name is "Jersey". Going north, the Lincoln/Jersey corner is at the stop light just after the overpass on Lincoln, and there's a couple motels (Rio and Star) on the west side of that corner.

Also btw, a new police department opened up on Lincoln around Pratt?? I remember last year when the city demolished one of these motels for the new building.

I do know "Bucktown" just went through a sting operation, but not really sure about the other areas.

The new police station is on Lincoln just North of Foster. They demolished the old Spa motel, I believe. They also knocked down the Acres motel to build a new library. The Mayor likes to refer to these places as "hot pillow motels". There was another place knocked down on the corner of Lincoln and Peterson so the mayor could put in another of his beloved fountains. It is part of the Chicago River bike trail there.

A note of caution on this area. It was the focus of a Bucktown like crackdown years ago. The mayor would like nothing better than to get rid of all the motels, even if many of them are being useed as housing for low-income, full time workers. It is a residential neighborhood, albeit a mix of working class, immigrants, and Orthodox Jews. it is never going to be hot bed of activity like North and Wabansia were. It is rare to see strollers working the streets. They often are doing work word of mouth or on the 976 lines.

Hey gang, I'm a newbie to the forum but I've been lurking for quite some time and am a veteran of the hobby. First off I'd like to thank all the good folks who are kind enough to share their experineces and knowledge. I know I've cashed in on more than one occassion based on advice and tips I've read here. Let's keep up the good work. Hopefully I'll have some meaningful experiences to share.

Bukake, I agree with you to an extent but your callousness alarms me. You need to look and think about some of the things Chester has posted. I cant speak for Chester, but I seriously doubt he means for us hobbyists to bring flowers to sw's and take them to moveis, unless you can get a bbbj in the theatre. Personally, I don't care if some sw's get raped. I don't wish that upon anybody but I'm not going to pretend to care either. I do care when it starts driving all the "quality" ladies out.

I have been by Lincoln and Jersey pretty often and have not seen any SWs. However, I agree with Happygardener that when they were out a few years ago, the neighborhood was too good and quiet for it to last. Also, because of the long sight lines from the parking lots across the street on Lincoln, you are vulnerable to being seen on the pick-up.

P.S. Bukakke is less of a troll than I thought. One great schism on the board has always been the people who would try to help a SW, and those who know the SWs are all crazy, but don't care as long as they are not at risk.
