I've been on the sidelines since the beginning of last month.

I have watched the Governors daily reports. He indicates the curve is flatten and that the situation is improving. The last couple of days there has been 120 deaths a day, which is up from the 80 deaths a day from most of last week. That doesn't sound to me like improving.

I hear about re opening the state, but in my opinion that's crazy. Maybe because I'm a male, 64 being in the high risk group I'm so concerned.

Looking for some others opinions on this.

As I had heard, look at the serious numbers like hospitalizations. As an example; if they test 1000 people and have 150 positives on Monday and by Thursday they test 5000 people with 450 positives, YES they have more positives but the percentage went down. Those requiring hospitalization, ventilation are the important numbers because there are quite a few that get it and barely show symptoms or issues and many of them don't get tested.

Better indicator is the number of new cases. I'm in the higher risk category as is my wife (even higher). I'm on the sidelines too but am thinking about seeing one of my SA contacts that has been playing it safe too soon.
