I was a fool! They came after me with the Covid lockdown bullshit! This exposing themselves foe the authoritarians they have always been (I was indoctrinated by my commie pops). Apples and bell peppers are my favorites for lunch. I often buy 8 at a time from QFC Delivery. So, these are good quality.

Problem is, I often times don't have time to slice these up, and don't eat them every day. Sometimes, these sit in my fridge for a couple of weeks.

A bag of apples I had, remained crisp for 3 weeks! Two, yes, but I was amazed that they stayed crisp for 3+ weeks.

I give apples more time than bell peppers, though.

Bananas, no chance at staying fresh. Likely not lettuce or celery either.

I don't want these to go to waste, but I often buy food for lunch at work, or something fast food the night before.

How long can, in the fridge, apples and bell peppers stay fresh?

Bananas give off ethylene gas, the presence of which causes them and their other "bunch mates" to ripen faster. This is why you never store ripe bananas in a closed container or bag. They ripen fast and go brown REALLY quick. This gas also causes other fruits, like apples and peppers, to ripen faster.

2. Apples last a long time, but they start eating their own sugars and getting mealy after a few weeks. Keep them in the fridge and keep them dry to extend their life. They can be stored for months in a "Controlled Atmosphere" Storage facility where gases are pumped in to slow down their respiration.

3. Peppers? I know little about them other than I can't stand them and keep them dry in the fridge. They will probably last for a couple weeks.

As far as safety with foods, proteins go "putrid" and get dangerous for consumption. Fruits get mealy and will ferment. Making them disgusting, but they arent going to kill you in that condition.

Weeks and months go by quick. How long can flank steak and chicken breasts remain ok, given that I freeze them?

The fats will break down over time and go "rancid". A learned "taster" will begin to pick up a soap flavor that increases quickly over the weeks, and once you become aware of it, it is pretty disgusting. You can double (at least) the shelf life of frozen meats by using a vacuum pack machine. O2 is the enemy of freezer foods.

Again, quality and safety are 2 different things. Meat frozen for 10 years can be safe. But the flavor and texture will be so bad that any sane human can't eat it.

I'm seriously done with younger SBs. These entitled millenial hags have these ridiculous expectations and demands and then expect to get paid on top of it. That's not how this works, kids. If I'm paying it's about me and what I want, not you. I'm happy to respect boundaries and establish those up front, that's not what I'm talking about. At first I though they were just trying to scam me for money, and surely some of them were, with things like "I want to meet a few times and see if there's chemistry, maybe we can go on a shopping trip", "I just want someone to support me and we can occasionally chat online", "I really just want someone to buy me nice things and pay my bills and treat me like the princess I am. But the more I talk to them and see the patterns I realize this is surely partly due to them having grown up the 'everybody get a trophy' culture where they were never told 'no' and had everything given to them and done for them. Fuck, that's annoying. I worked my ass off for years to get where I am and I expect that when I lay out my hard-earned money for something like companionship that they at least respect the dynamic that they are providing a service in consideration of that compensation. I honestly think they believe it should work the other way. I'd love to be there and watch when a few of them get slapped hard by life and the realization hits them that they aren't entitled to anything they don't earn.

But sadly, I'm sure there are more than enough simps out there to keep them thinking this is how things are supposed to work. Those spineless cucks are just as bad and maybe even worse.

The younger ones just want stuff. Whenever a SB says, "let's go shopping. " I immediately tell them that I NEVER go shopping. I hate going to the store and I buy all of my stuff online. There was an SB that I started seeing in 2009, and saw off and on for quite a few years (until around 2016) until I cut her loose. She was cute and a good and enthusiastic fuck and also really messed up in the head. The last time I saw her she threw a screaming temper tantrum in a nice restaurant because (I shit you not) the waitress added ice to her drink after pouring her drink. She had broken most of the glasses on the table and was starting on the chairs when a security guard nailed her with a stun gun. I was like WTF? The police took her away and that was the last I saw of her. Or so I thought.

Last January she turned up at my house at three in the friggin' morning. I immediately called the cops and they "assessed the situation as a non-emergency" and told me they would send someone out in the morning. At ten that morning a deputy sheriff came by and informed me there was nothing they could do because I let her stay in the house (apparently I should have left her outside to freeze to death) and I would have to take her to court to have her removed, and oh by the way because of COVID the courts probably wouldn't be willing to order her removed.

I am like "WTF?" I mean what the fucking fuck?

I took me TWO MONTHS of fighting the system before yes, the county sheriff agreed that she didn't belong there and could be removed. This was after she had damaged and destroyed property (the cleanup bill is probably on the order of three grand). She is long gone now and as far as I know she is living in a cheap wal-mart tent on some sidewalk in Seattle. Good riddance.

Holy fucking shit. Thanks for the reminder that even though it sucks to pay for a hotel it's far better than having them know where you live.
