Because smart providers (and hobbyists) use burners and may change numbers relatively often. OTOH, most people forget that their phone number is even on Facebook and never update it when their number changes. In some cases, you may be looking up someone that had the number like 7 years ago.
Personally, I prefer to search the phone number via Google or to use search functions on this or oThER mongering sites. If she's been advertising as a provider for even a few days, you'll get lots of Google hits. Main thing I am watching out for are results that show the number across multiple cities or with totally different pictures. The other red flag is obviously when Google & checking monger sites produces no results at all.
