There was a McD's next door to my motel of choice and I'd have the girl meet me there, usually buy her a drink or pie or something.

I think it helps for a few reasons. Besides being able to check her out, you can see if she arrives with big scary protection, you can negotiate the deal before hand, and most importantly, you can snuff out a tranny before it gets in your room and you find out the "hard" way.
