Just trying to help the team. I'm responsible for assisting and suggesting to at least 3 provider friends of mine to lower their rates below 1$$. And as low as 50/80 on Taz and Backpage. I don't think the gas station analogy really fits... all gas is pretty much the same. I think a car analogy would be better. Do you want to drive a Toyota, or a Mercedes? Both will get you were you need to go. It's all a matter of if you want to pay the extra for better performance and looks. Some still do pay more even these days. I know some of the providers I'm friends with would rather charge more and only do two or three "dates" a week, than do more for less and end up with the same money. It often comes down to how fast and often the girls need money (ie how bad their drug habit is). The girls doing less (and 99% of them do some drug), can afford to be more selective and can wait for the higher paying clients. I know one girl that I'm very good friends with turns down 3 to 5 guys a day offering her between $150 and $200, just because she doesn't feel like working that often. In fact she'll generally only work once every two to three days or so.
Money may be tight for many these days (myself included), but there are still those out there with the free cash to pay $200-$300 for an hour. I see it myself with the girls I drive for. I've driven two different girls in the last two days. Each to one call where one made $225 for an hour, and the other made $300 for an hour.
I'm not trying to defend the high prices of some providers, merely stating my observations of the facts. Personally, I'd never pay that much. But luckily for me, I often get heavily discounted (and occasionally free) services from several providers I'm friends with.
My point in all of this was that even in today's economy, there's room for Mercedes and Toyota dealers, just as there's room for high priced and low priced providers. They're both simply catering to a different clientele. Does it suck that I can't afford a Mercedes S600? Sure it does, but to expect the Mercedes dealer to lower their prices to what more people could afford is unrealistic.
