WDTN news report on the prostitution arrests that took place earlier this week in Dayton:
http://wdtn.com/2017/03/16/27-arrested-in-first-four-human-trafficking-prostitution-sting/
Other than mentioning 27 arrests, the report gives very little information.

Please forgive me to all that disagree, this is just an opinion. I have been doing this a long time and have talked to, and got to know very many of the girls. I have yet for any to tell me they are forced to do this, and if I had any idea of force, I would not be a willing participant. It is easy for a bureaucracy to push a cause to get more government funding, with the news media willing participants, to get eyeballs to tune in to their news program and sell more advertisement thus generating more revenue. Although, I'm sure it does happen some, I don't think it is as big as they lead us to believe, or should anyone should be forced into this.

It is a scam by local LE; always is. If you read details of the acclaimed articles in various towns, rarely does LE catch a minor or find any gal trapped in the hobby. True facts.
And it sounds from this article, as usual, the Gem City got nothing about minors or "trafficking", although they will never admit it. To the contrary. Be safe and good hunting. MW.
The TV show Crime Watch Daily with Chris Hansen recently teamed up with law enforcement in Montgomery County, Ohio, where the per capita murder rate in Dayton is actually higher than Chicago. This special investigation was on the heroin epidemic.

It seems they focused more on guys (johns and pimps in recruiting mode) during First Four this year.

No. 1 in America in heroin epidemic per capita. I read that Montgomery County Coroners office doesn't have enough room for all the bodies, needed to rent a freezer truck to store them.

Basically, addicts from SE Ohio come to Dayton to score their drugs, end up shooting up and overdosing before they get out of town. Keeps the Circle K at 35 and Orchard hopping.

Have been in there a few times and noticed people that looked a little grungy / strung out more than what you would expect to see coming through that area. Might also explain the clientele at the now closed motel across the road. Years ago there was a local provider who stayed there off and on.

While there's no getting around the fact that many of Dayton's working girls are addicts supporting their habit, we are not a human trafficking / pimping city; at least not in the escort branch of the biz. Almost all of these girls are working independently, and the choice is theirs and theirs alone. Uncle LEO puts this kind of malarkey out publicly to convince everyone that the girls providing these services are all victims, and us guys who patronize them are heartless monsters and among the worst of the worst kind of criminals currently roaming freely in society. Senator Rob Portman is pushing for the creation of a 5th degree felony charge that us hobbyists will be slapped with should we be unfortunate enough to fall into an LE trap. With this public coercion being perpetuated by LE and the media, this is liable to become a reality in the future.
