Monger Exposure to Diseases
CJ's and Davey's recent replies to my semi-serious "socks" question caused me to think about a much more serious and relevant issue for our mongering hobby, and that is the degree to which we are exposing ourselves to possible diseases.
I don't know if there have been any serious studies done, or if there is data available from the CDC or other reliable source on this issue, but I would have the following questions for you mongers:
1. Have any of you contracted a disease of any kind from a SW and what were the circumstances? (If this is too personal to reveal, send me a PM. You will have to trust that I will keep the reply totally confidential even as to your SN identity on here.) I will simply admit here that this has never happened to me and I would guesstimate that I have been with well over 1500 different civis, SWs, escorts and women in massage parlors and brothels.
2. Are you personally aware from first hand discussion (not hearsay) with another monger of his contracting a disease from a SW and what were the circumstances? (The identity of the monger in question need not be revealed) As far as I am concerned I don't know one person this has happened to, although they may have been reluctant to admit it.
3. Are any mongers out there medical professionals and/or in a position to KNOW for a fact the risks of disease exposure from various forms of contact with SWs? I am not just talking about the fact that disease is a possibility, but the actual probabilities. (For example, what percentages of SWs have various types of diseases, and what are the percentage likelihoods you would contract them on a single exposure, if the SW is infected. Let unprotected vaginal or anal intercourse off the table because that is just plain nuts. Stick to kissing, DATY, BBBJ and the risks of protected vaginal and anal intercourse .)
4. Are there any credible university, hospital or scientific studies available on this subject? I will be looking for this as well. My search has only just begun.
I know that many guys keep their socks on also, even though I do not. If I can walk outdoors on the filthy ground and pavement barefoot, I don't think that walking on the floor of the 10 spot house will give me some dread foot disease, nor have I ever contracted any.
Geeze! I bet you’re loads of fun at a party. Perhaps my sense of humor is a bit warped.
I never said that, “Socks” weren’t a worthy topic for discussion. Funny maybe, a little off from the norm possibly, but certainly not unworthy. In fact, I am thinking of including the wearing of and the removal thereof of socks in all of my future SWer reviews. I will not go so far as to say that my choice of dates will be decided bases on the, “Psychology of the Sock.”

Once again I have to say; raised the way I was, I’d never walked outside barefooted. Even on my grandmother farm, I was encouraged to keep my feet covered. Perhaps this too is psychological; I imagine the streets of Philadelphia as being covered with unseen germs, and everything from dog shit, human shit, piss, drunken throw-up, and whatever. And, that’s not to mention the broken glass bottles, trash and years of garbage and other filth and etc, etc and etc to be found on the streets. My mother would have killed me and sent my butt back to heaven if she’d ever caught my out barefoot in the street. I have to imagine that the penalty for walking barefoot in the $10 spot would have been worst.
To each his own.
I did bring up the subject of foot fetishes by mongers VERY recently: an observation from Deep Throat. It IS a serious subject and worthy of discussion. So why didn't you comment about THAT one instead of socks?
When I said you hadn’t mentioned the subject of “foot fetishes,” I was talking about that particular post. Your posts involving the subject “Deep Throat,” are very interesting to say the least. I have decided to stay away from that discussion.
Avoiding lip kissing is somewhat hypocritical and puzzling from the standpoint of sanitation, because I have no problem placing my uncovered cock in a SWs mouth,…
That’s not quite the same, is it? Originally the dick came with a nice little protective covering and was always meant to go into a tight, moist place. Like hands and arms and most of the body, the dick has a layer of protective skin that was adapted to be exposed to the elements. Most of us give little thought as to where we put our hands, arms and legs during a sexual encounter. If putting my hands into a girls mouth doesn’t bother me why would putting my dick in the same mouth raise caution? Because of that little pee hole? The pee hole was engineered to eject stuff and not to let stuff in. That’s why we don’t fill up with water when we go swimming. On the other hand, the mouth was designed for the intake of substance, and nothing else. (Breathing is a secondary function of the mouth.) You are more likely to catch something from kissing than from having your dick sucked. If you have a cavity, bleeding gums, recently bite your tongue or the inside of you cheek, or have any open sore in your mouth, the chances of getting something from deep kissing increases. We are talking about anything from the flu, the common cold, mono, up to TB and worse. There are lots of nasty little bugs that are passed on by mouth to mouth contact. It should also be mentioned that if you have an open sore or herpes on you dick while receiving a blow job, you increase your risk for infection.
You know what, Supereloquent, I take it back. The “Sock Thing,” turned out to be very interesting after all. LOL

PS: Who said anything about kissing a SWer’s feet?
In search of Deep Throat?

Goodness! Sounds like a keeper and someone I'd love to get to know!
Always like treating a lady well and if she's got smarts then the experience is usually better.
If she's interested in expanding her group of friends...

ALL WET, CJ. The head of the penis is a mucous membrane. It's not "protected" nor is the "pee hole" all you have to worry about. It's the whole damn head. It allows the passage of pathogens. There are lots of "nasty little bugs" you can catch with your penis and it is hardly the same risk as "placing your hands in a girl's mouth." My point is not that I don't assume this risk, because I do. But there is risk both from kissing and BBBJs, and to boldly say that kissing is a greater risk is misinformation, because it ISN'T!
Wrong again. What I said was: You (the monger) are more likely to catch something from kissing than from having your dick sucked. If you (the monger) have a cavity, bleeding gums, recently bitten your tongue or the inside of you cheek, or have any open sore in your mouth, the chances of getting something from deep kissing increases.
The same is true in reverse and THAT was MY point (not yours). If a SW has a cavity, bleeding gums, a cut in the mouth, an open sore, you are at as much risk sticking your cock in there as your tongue.
I mentioned STDs? I don’t remember mentioning STDs. I’ll go back and check. Nope! I didn’t see anything I said in reference to STDs.
MY point was that the ORAL risk of transmitting an STD is higher with a BBBJ than kissing. I thought that was worthy mentioning, even if you didn't.
I thought you wanted to have some fun and laughs about socks. You are looking for an argument and a fight.
I’m sorry, I am not interested.
You are not interested because you are WRONG. A BBBJ is not and never will be less risky than kissing, ESPECIALLY with regard to the oral transmission of STDs, but it also applies to the transmission of ANY disease. Your statement that a penis is at no more risk than your finger in the mouth of a SW is absolutely, ridiculously and obtusely DUMB.
PS: For a guy whose never had VD (that’s what old school guys call STDs) you know an awful lot.
It doesn't take much to know that a penis is different from a finger.
