Question: has anyone heard stories about the cameras in the Kukui St areas, to include Nuuanu, Mauna Kea, Aala streets? Is the true purpose to do live surveillance 24/7 or to be used as a tool for investigating traffic crimes, assaults in the area, vandalism, etc. After the fact?

Don't know to what extent the downtown, streetwalker, Pali Long's surveillance cams used for but probably just one nodda layer of security for crimes committed on private property, if any.
Chronics, derelicts, whomevers can check and test the legals if get possible Civil Rights violation(s); probably going lose the complaint but can try.
