I've never heard of anyone hosting out of there. I know it used to be a Hilton before UMASS Lowell bought it and converted it to essentially dorm rooms. Although it's more of a hotel for students and faculty commuting in for classes. Several years ago I took a night class in one of the conference rooms there and there was guy in my class who drove up from CT. He would stay overnight there instead of driving home after class. The class met one night a week from 6 to 9pm. Some of the professors would stay there too. Rooms are fairly cheap I guess and don't know if just anyone can book a room or if you have to be a student.
