We didn't really do option 1 with Swine and Bird flu it's just that the rate at which they spread was so different that most of us didn't notice that we did option 2. Right now, our best guess suggests that people can be asymptomatic and contagious for weeks. With Swine and Bird flu, that period of time when a person might have transmitted the disease was measured in days and almost always accompanied by symptoms; it made it much easier for health care officials to track and quarantine both those who were infected and those who came in contact with the infected. Between the way it spreads and the lack of tests, COVID is almost impossible to get out in front of like that. Option 2 assumes that you are isolating everyone who may have come in contact with someone who is infected. With COVID that's everyone in the country, because until we can test everyone there is no way of knowing who has it and who doesn't. COVID is also different from Swine Flu because COVID appears to survive a relatively long time on surfaces and different from Bird FLu because Bird Flu very rarely transfers human to human.

So basically door number 1 would give us door number 2 PLUS the added bonus of millions dead instead of thousands, which is probably what we are looking at right now, if we are lucky. I'm going with door number 2, and since so many people who enjoy are hobby are in the most vulnerable population they should be happy with door number 2 also.

Sad, but there only two strategies to fight it. #1, let it spread until everyone gets sick, some die, and it runs the course. #2, keep people separated from each other, thus, starving the damn bug.

Our political leaders have chosen #2 without any consideration to what that means (basically, the same financial outcome as if it was the zombie apocalypse). And that strategy may not work well, anyway. Looking back, we may decide #1 was the wiser (like we did with the swine flu and bird flu).

As you can see, I paid attention in Biology 203 way back when.

Maybe a provider that got busted and was offering assistance in exchange for a break on the charges. Regardless, it's definitely unusual, LE usually won't get in the car for safety reasons, they'll just reach an agreement on money for sex, tell the person to meet them "around the corner" or something along those lines, and then other LE roll up and make the stop and the arrest.

The 'cooperative female' doesn't sound like she was LE and, as stated, could have been someone 'cooperating' to lessen pending charges. I know I'm semi-retired now but I had to come back and share with my fellow mongers some great news: Steak 'n Shake has brought back the Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip shake for a limited time!
