I suspect if you weren't offered any extras on the 1st visit, I doubt this place does extras. If they really wanted you to come back again, she would have offered something for you. If it is the same as any other AMP, it wouldn't make any sense for her to not offer you something extra. It sounds like a legit massage place. My advice is to move on somewhere else.

That's two strikes against you right there.
When you decline the shower, she isn't eager to get too close.
The girl wants to KNOW that you are clean in all the right places. Having just taken a shower means nothing to her if she didn't do the scrub.
When you give her a $10 tip you mark yourself as a cheapskate. These girls DO remember. It's unlikely that you will be welcomed back with much enthusiasm. Sure, if they aren't busy, she'll let you in, but don't expect much service.
No personal attack intended toward you here, but having dated some of these girls on the outside I know how and what they think.
Average service in a rub & tug gets an AVERAGE $60 tip.
Anything less is not worth their time. They could be taking care of a more appreciative customer. When you bump it up to $100 or more they start taking you more seriously.
Business is slow right now, but they still don't want work for nothing.

It's not really useful to generalize as far as rates but I'd say $40 is perfectly alright in many of the strictly rub and tug places. Heck, $40 used to be the going rate for FS at Osaka for the half hour and $60 for the hour. I never followed those guidelines because to me that didn't jibe with the excellent service they provided.
The problem with making a blanket statement that 'all' places expect $60 is that all places are not equal. FS at one place (think Ulmerton) might run $100 to $120 while at another $200+ (US19 in PH). It can even vary with different girls at the same establishment.
In my personal experience there have been plenty of places where $40 was a very well received tip for a handshake.
I do very much agree that opting out of the TS is never a good idea. Cleanliness, or the perception by the provider there of, is more likely to lead to happiness at the end.
I've been all over the map on this, and have frankly never been sure what was right. Anywhere from .3-.6, and have had some providers who expected a full $. Ironically it's the ones that are the least desirable and provide the worst service seem to be the ones who think that a handshake is worth a full bill.

The problem I have with your statement is that if the standard prices are 40/60/100 and someone starts paying 100/150/200 then that is what they start expecting from everyone. I had one place I used to go to and for a long time it was the 40/60/100 rates then the last time I was told that the prices now start at 100. 100 for a damn hj she better be using a gold glove. What I'm trying to say is if you have money to spare please think of those of us who don't have money coming out of our ass.

I just read the same thing you read and I dont see where he mentioned that he pays standard prices at all. He only tips according to the service he recieves and how well it was. Heck for all we know if the service isnt any good he might tip less than all of us. Or if its good he might do more.
He just gave an example of the differences of different shops. Its kinda like CL and others each provider charges differently and I for one can tell you if one offers 400 an hour or the other charges 100-- Im calling the 100 an hour chick.

I'm not saying that you should pay any more than the going fare. When I talk about Osaka I said that I paid a bit more than the $40/$60 that was the 'set rate'. I paid a bit more because the providers I frequented went way above and beyond the standard level of service for this area.
If I go out to a restaurant and some wait person bends over backwards to make sure I never have to want for anything during my meal you can bet I'll tip upwards of 20%.
That doesn't mean I won't leave 10% or less for poor service. Why should I tip some young hottie high dollars for dead fish service? Let's face it, even the local hotties are not all that great on a world wide scale. Performance counts, or at least it does until I get too old to pull elsewhere.
I go to AMPs for service, not because it's the best place to find hot Asians. That would be, in fact, Asia.
If hotties were the only factor I could go to Bangkok for a couple grand and bang a Thai Penthouse Pet at Poseidon Entertainment Complex.
Trust me, local talent doesn't remotely compare.
Bottom line, RC is 100% correct.

I have found that tipping for great service at an establishment gets you a positive reputation that feeds on itself. When the performance doesn't live up to expectations, then the tipping follows the negative experience. But a good tipping reputation is a great ice breaker when new talent comes in. The mamasan lets the new ladies know you will pay to play. If that happens to go outside someone's price range, then sorry, but too bad. It's not to give someone else a bad time, it's just to ensure myself of a great time. And it works like a charm. Setting yourself apart from the crowd has never seemed like a bad thing to me. When you do it in other ways as well, like being polite and respectful, it seems to go a long way. I would rather have less frequent encounters and enjoy them more. Kind of the quality vs quantity debate.
I respect everyone's opinion on this topic. However, I must say that 60 for a handshake is, in most cases, too much; and 100 is ridiculous. Of course, there are always exceptional circumstances. For example, an extremely beautiful girl, or the handshake lasts for an unusually long time.

All I did was read and interpreted what you wrote and I do agree with you its about the service and thats going to base whatever tip I decide to leave. That goes for anything I participate in.

Yep, it's my least favorite place in Tampa.
It doesn't get much business. The owner has a hard time just keeping anyone working there, and then it's usually some 60 year old washed up and fat grandma. They sometimes have no one at all working, althogh currently there are a couple.
It is owned by the same woman that owns Japanese Spa on Kennedy. All the girls want to move over there because they have more business.
