If I were to be truthful, I have gotten a little lazy and some of the enthusiasm is gone. Outdoor pictures take a different set of skills. Unless you are on private property and out of public view, there is a danger.
I still have a few ideas for some outdoor photography I'd like to try.

The girl in the vintage garter belt was taken in a State Park in Memphis. The grounds crew kept circling around for a better view. The lady in the forest was taken in a fishing camp that I could never find my way back again. The older lady was shot in a friend's backyard, but he lives way out in the remote sticks. None of the ladies are currently available. My goal is to do a nude outdoor shoot of a lady in boots astride a big Harley Davidson Hogg.

I had an idea for a hunting motif, with camouflage and a rifle. But! The idea that I mostly want to see to completion is a Girl on Girl session in a garden or forest.
Stacey had a good idea. She suggested we rented a boat. Two girls, a girl on girl session in a row boat on a back waterway. I could get behind that.

Unfortunately, I believe those days are gone. A number of my old outdoor locations now have cameras. And, to be honest. The bloom is off the rose. However, with the right lady, under the right circumstance, I would give it a shot.

See the girl with the raincoat. Notice the houses behind her. That is a well-known Philadelphia tourist attraction. It is always packed with tourist, joggers, couples and people taking in the Art.
August set in my car, wearing the raincoat. When I gave her the nod, she ran out, dropped the raincoat and took the pre-rehearsed pose. I snap three or four pictures and we both ran back to the car. After we had pulled it off, we couldn't stop laughing.

Hey guy first let me thank you for the sharing and valuable info. Still fairly new to the area. Not much presence on this board but much more input on others. Will see what I can do to do my part. Understand the give and take. I am not new to the game but very new to this area and do not know the Ave at all. Personally I think some of these girls are beautiful. Thinking about taking a stroll down the Ave and wanted to ask some advice. In the event I look terribly out of place and get questioned by anyone what are some reasons I would have to be down there other than the obvious? Are there any good places to eat or stores I could be going to? Appreciate any help. Happy hunting all!

Just say your looking for a used washing machine.

It's a good idea to remember some names and when they are open. You don't want to be looking for a used bike at 11 pm, but you are willing to drive to this Chinese food place that has great fried dumplings for a late night snack.
If a local hood asks you tell them I'm walking. Then break off all conversation. They want to see if they can sell you something or if you act afraid. If you pay them as much attention as a stray dog they will move on to the next person. Don't make yourself an easy mark. The more unpleasant you look the least likely they will try to engage you.

You don't have to give any reason to anybody as to what you are doing on the ave. Any more than why you may be at Penns landing or Pats Steaks. The ave is no different than any other place in the city. It's nobodys business what you are doing there. You have every right as an American citizen to be anywhere you chose to be. If you are asked by a cop what you are doing there you have two choices. Open your mouth and take your chances. They are banking on you to incriminate yourself. That's why they ask questions like that. They know you have no legal obligation to answer. They ask with the hopes of you spilling your guts. If you respond then you are asking for trouble.
Your second option is to keep your mouth shut. Don't take any chances. When approached by a LEO you have but one obligation. Produce updated identification showing who you are. That's all you are required under the law to do. You don't have to engage in any exchange of conversation. If you open your mouth and say you are doing anything illegal they are obliged to arrest you. That's their job. That simple. If you are accused of any infraction of any law, you do not have to prove your innocents. They have to prove your guilt. If approached by any LEO be cordial and respectful. Not always but they sometimes may try to push your buttons with accusations. Deny everything or better yet don't debate with them. If they have something on you they will lock you up then and there and let district attorney sort it out. Its really that simple. Can't do much about that. If you "come clean" expecting special treatment forget it. You won't get it. They are just trying to build a case against you. When you are on the stroll for any reason, no matter if you just stop to get a hair cut, nobody you encounter, regular joe or Johnny law, nobody has your best interest in mind but you. Remember that always. Everyone out there has an ulterior motive. EVERYONE. So keep your mouth shut and your wits about you in peak form and you will be fine. Here's a tidbit you may not have thought of. If you give up your right to remain silent then they will have a field day with your ass. If you keep your mouth shut you can't incriminate yourself. KSW.[/QUOTE]OK I have walked the toughest streets in Kensington and Camden in the early AM hours. I had two cops aims their glocks at me once in the Kenso badlands at 3 AM, one right at my head. OK if it's late and all the stores are closed except the Chinese take out you are going to be looked at by the cops. I just act like I belong but the things is with my ethnic make up I can kind of blend in but I am clean cut and clean dressed MOST of the hood rats aren't. ACT like you own the ave not like your a tourist. Someone talks at you respond but keep going you can act friendly. A lot of K&A people started to recognize me and accept me as part of the ave. I suggest going in the daytime if you can just to get a feel for the lay of the land and to observe what goes on.

You are under no obligation to say ANYTHING to a LEO. Never, ever, at any time are you required to answer anything you are asked. The 5th amendment gives us the right to remain silent and any lawyer will tell you that is exactly what you should do when ever you are question by an LEO. "My lawyer advised me not to talk to cops" is all you should say, if that. I don't answer questions is acceptable too. LEO can and will use anything you say against you no matter how insignificant you THINK it may be. Best bet is to always be silent and not give them ammo.
You do NOT need to produce identification unless you are under investigation or suspicion of committing a crime, in which case you DAMN WELL BETTER invoke your 5th amendment rights mentioned above. Requiring you do identify yourself without being under investigation is a violation of our 4th amendment which guarantees us protection against illegal search and seizure. If a LEO asks for identification you should say "what crime do you suspect me of committing? At that point they're going to have to tell you you're under investigation for a suspected crime (in which you remain silent and don't say a word until you talk to your lawyer) or they will say something to the effect that you're not under investigation to which your next response should be "then I am free to go, thanks have a nice day" and start walking.
That should be the extent of your interactions with LEO. Always be polite, but NEVER assume you can be friendly with a little chit-chat and they'll let you go because you weren't up to anything. Their job is to find people who they suspect of committing a crime. It doesn't effect them one way or the other if you're guilty of the crime they suspect or not, they aren't the judge or jury, they just need to justify their job and unfortunately the average US citizen their target.

Again I can't say it enough, if someone keeps their mouth shut they cannot incriminate themselves for anything. One must always keep in mind the Miranda warning. The most important part of the warning is this. "Anything you say can be used against you in a court of law".
The exact wording does not have to be used. It just needs to be correct in meaning. So the very best thing one can do for themselves to preserve their freedom is to remain silent. No need to be combative or arrogant. No need for debate as to who's right or wrong. No need to be belligerent or antagonistic. Again be cordial. Understand that LEO is doing his job. They will do it with or without our cooperation. Even if he seems to be a bit over zealous. Let it go and walk free. They do not wish to deal with a person that is familiar with their rights. They would much rather deal with someone more compliant.
It is my sensible thought on the subject that LEO is more in tune with the laws of the land than most Joe Citizens. So during any encounter understand they have the upper hand. That is why it is more than important to remember to keep ones cool. Observe the courtesy we might wish displayed to us. Think about what the entire encounter is about. Did we do anything to encourage the encounter? Not all encounters are bad with LEO. Many are just safety related. Tail light out or something else minor. They escalate into something larger because one party or the other didn't show the required respect. So always show respect no matter what may come out of LEOs mouth. Above all kill them with kindness. Don't be social, just respectful. Know ones rights without flexing ones muscle. You will win every time.
LEO patrolling that area does not want to be your friend. They are your adversary. They look down on everyone in the neighborhood resident or visitor. So know that going in the door. They are in a tough area working. Not knowing if they are going home to their family after shifts end or to the hospital. They trust no one. So never trust someone that can't trust you. Understanding those points is your first step toward your security and safety.
Continue to contribute whenever you have something important like your post. That information is very valuable to all. I've noticed over the years many people jump into this pool and don't find out till they are in the deep end that they can't swim. So we need to share what we have with all who will listen. There will be those who don't listen. You pass them all the time in hand cuffs against their car. Or up against some wall getting felt up. As time goes by they either learn or they leave the theater.
