Police raided the home on August 10 and arrested a 32-year-old for prostitution.

Terri said, "You do have to pay attention and stop it if you can."

Just four days later,[b] Troy police made another, unrelated prostitution arrest at the Village Green apartments.

Sgt. Lehman said, "Where kids are playing, families are living."

This time they followed a man leaving an apartment and when they pulled him over they got the information they needed to go back to the apartment and arrest a 29-year-old woman.[/b]

In both cases, the men involved were arrested for unrelated issues but could face charges related to the raids.

Police tell us it may seem surprising that prostitution can take place in nice neighborhoods.

Sgt. Meghan Lehman explained, "This does happen everywhere, suburbs, nice areas. It happens everywhere."

One of the women arrested was taken by Immigration and Customs Enforcement because her visiting status expired.

I primarily parked in the visitor spot, directly behind her van. Occasionally out back just around the corner. I made eye contact with neighbors probably 30% of the time.

Tips: If you are stopped, tell the truth. Let the provider deal with the consequences. My other tip is take a used envelope. Write something that you know details about (Austin A40 cylinder head). When the provider gives you the destination, write it down on the envelope. If stopped I comply with Uncle LEO and explain a guy was going to sell me a cylinder head. The guy wasn't there so I waited while his friend tried to contact him. I gave up after a half hour and left. Throw in a little anger about the loser not showing and you will be on your way. This will work once as Uncle LEO generally works the same area and may remember you.
