But seemed to be very, very slow.
Have not step my foot in there as yet, not planning too anyway. Two shooting in two months at the GM on this island, that would scare a lot of people away. If this is another illegal GM, I smell big trouble ahead. Let's hope this is a family GM where kids can play like Chuck and Cheese.
Anyone know who is running this GM? TC mama or someone else?

Spent Thanksgiving with Kay for a few hours yesterday. She told me she has been sad these past few days. I tried my best to cheer her up, and then some. If her LVBs don't know yet, she will be going somewhere soon. I told her I might visit her because I have a conference there next month. I am going to try to see her tonight before she leaves, but she will let me know if she works tonight.
Big artical on this morning newspaper on Makoloa block development. Chinese firm bought that block for 18 mils and they are planning to build a twin towers include hotel and residential units. It is coming soon.
We will be losing at least 4 KBs in the area, EG, Tanent, 74, Summit to name a few.
Eventually all of these near by bars will also be gone. Investers are paying big bucks for their units, don't think they are too happy to see any of these bars in their neighborhood.
When come to it, where all of these girls going to work? Maybe Kalihi?

If so, the will corner the KB market in the Kapiolani area if those other KB's mentioned closes down.
Be safe bros.
I thought they were talking about the block mauka of Walgreen's?
They're talking about two different towers. The one mauka of Walgreens is the property that housed Panda Cuisine, Napa Valley, Tomorrow II, La Vie En Rose, and the old massage parlor.
Warrior, are you sure it is the EG property? The article didn't specify the location. I'm guessing the one makai of Walmart is the Summit property, because it has the same developer as the old Goodyear Service Center. The Summit property is owned by Chinese as is the Goodyear property. The Evergreen, Susie's and 74 properties are all owned by a local entity. Another big parcel is the Kenrock property.
EDIT: I think Warrior may be right. I just saw the news and the rendering looks like it is on the property that runs from EG to the old Pacific Diamond.
" Neighborhood broad members said benefit on the project would bring by replacing hostess bars and providing affordable housing".
I think it is a done deal, supporting by neighborhood board.
Members and rich Chinese.
It is fucking BS, affordable housing at 800 k each? Who the fuck could afford that?

The rail endeavor will certainly change the landscape of our beloved Keeaumoku / Kapiolani KBs. They will probably have to find another venue; King Street?
Anyway, IMO, the developments won't fly as the water supply and table cannot support them; unless, of course, get one political fix-up job. I wouldn't buy unless I mental or can afford $1600-2000 per month fees for endless maintenance problems.

IT will affect 6/7 bars current and former as well as 2 massage parlors. In one development project. The tower going up by Ashleys place I doubt they would want a bar as a neighbor. The property next to Ashleys is also for sale or was for sale as well. King Street would be a good alternative lots of places to put a bar. I guess it's for the rich the average family would be priced out of the price range of these projects, not to mention the maintenance fees.

What's that building on the mainland a luxury condo and the thing is sinking because the soils engineer failed to do a report or make this danger known their response was building was built to code. So what, the building foundation is sinking and tilting and all those tenants looking to loose their once in a life time investment. ALL FOR MONEY!. That is what makes the world go around. Just like the bars and AMP's no money, no honey. Where did I hear that old adage before? LOL. Be safe guys and even my aged parent was amazed at all the new construction on the way back to the nursing home. Even Nursing home are a racquet the average private pay is 12 k a month now and it goes up every year. The money, runs after that guys believe me, it runs fast and furious. Those in similar situations know what I mean. Quality of life and level of care, that what money brings that's all. We all die the same alone, but faith helps the passing. But enough of lecture. Honolulu will be facing a few hurdles in the coming decade and I hope we have enough money to cover our expenses without taxing us out into the street or skipping a few meals. Ideas?
You only need to take a walk on Makaloa street from Sheridan to Keamoku to know the sewers are inadequate as that smell behind 74 and Evergreen will make you faint. If it can't handle the flushed peanuts, kimchi, and Kalbi coming out of the bar shitters it's going to need Roto Rooter on staff for condos.
This is 2nd hand info since I was on the mainland for the past week. Just got back today. Vegas was fun! Thank you to Hawaiian Airlines. Lots of Aloha for us guys from the 808.
Pearl Kai-girls at Mama Mia checking out Club Rose to see what Mama Kelly has to offer. KBGs are trying to get "incentive" money to jump ship. Mama Kim should take better care of her girls.
Club Rose. There is a window of opportunity with landing Luna. Her sponsor / BF got busted for DUI and she is looking for another source for free housing in 2017.
Lost track of Miki, the pretty bartender that does not drink alcohol. Anyone knows where she went?

Any new talent at star lite?
Any new talent at star lite?
Two friends and I hit this bar Sunday night to watch the Carolina v. Seattle game. Many men in the booths behind us, as we took seats at the bar. Many bar maids off on their own with their phones on Ewa end of the bar. No one came up to us, even though we were hoping to meet a couple ladies unfamiliar to us. I saw one Korean bar maid with great cleavage showing in whom I'd have invested. Never got her name. No sight of Marie, who my pal Pete was hoping to see. He texted her, without a response. We called it an early night.
January44.
Heard EG is having Christmas ticket party next week - $30 per ticket. Anyplace else having ticket party? Foods and drinks for $30? I don' t eat and drink much so not worth it to me, unless there will be special food.

Or whatever it's called now. One of the last bastions of the sacred $2. 00 beers; Nina and Ray as bartending team (with pupus); specific workdays besides Saturday unknown; counter busy. Strangely, the Pagoda on Rycroft serving $2. 00 beer and $8. 00 prime rib pupu daily, 5-6 P (one hour only!
Ruby, working at Ashley's on Sheridan = small D's, 50 ish cute face, petite tight body; "I shy; man no have patience with me;" a challenge, I guess. Ha!

January44.
Spotlite is one of the better places in Kalihi. No new talent, but still got good looking players. It is all about timing, because the tier 1 girls may be in the party room. Always a good place for karaoke after 9 pm. Marie works when she needs extra money. This is just her fun / extra money job. Recommend you get her number and make an appointment.
My favorite karaoke singer at Spotlite is a Yuri. Sweet girl with a strong voice. Next would be be Chie at Rose (pearl Kai), petite lady with an excellent voice. Too bad she ain't a player, but that girl can sing. Latest info on Luna at Rose, is that her LVB has his DUI court date on the 20th. Hope you can donate. LE told me LVB did not have auto insurance. Damn, that sucks.
Mama Mia at Pearl Kai is having internal issues. New girls fighting with old girls regarding customers stepping thru the front door. Same situation all over. The pool of customers is shrinking. KBGs are getting rough. I can make money selling pepper spray.
The food was ok. The boneless kalbi was good and I ate lots of that. The chicken wings were so so. There was some kind of egg roll that was really crappy, and the sauce for it was nasty smelling. Chow mein with char siu was passable. The gift was a bath towel. I don't think I ate $30 of kalbi, but I didn't pay for the ticket either.
I was wondering if anyone had any info on new upscale place at the old Crystal Place location in the complex that houses the Korean Market on Keeaumoku? If remember correctly 3 floors involved with the third one being a cat house, other 2 levels regular bar? Not sure if this will be format but an upscale Gentleman's club like those in New York may have a chance with the upscale tourists it probably be out of reach for the run of the mill Kb day tripper.

But with her giving up the Cold Noodle restaurant, we'll wait and see what happens. This bar might might be a good idea with the closure of many KB's due to the new condo's. But this upscale concept is not my style so probably will not go even to see how it is.
Holy shit, got some fricking old ladies here. Now I going have to poke my eyes out, my eyes hurt from seeing them.
Seen some old face from Evergreen at Five-0. Has it been that long where the girls I seen at Evergreen graduated to Kalihi? Anyway Kapiolani slow as fuck on a Saturday.

I was at 5-0 several days ago to meet a drinking buddy. We looked around and said "holy shit, we need to get the fuck out of here". Those fugly ladies scared us and without thinking, we decided to play it safe at Mama Mia. That was stupid because the 6 pm traffic heading to Pearlridge really sucked. Should have gone to Cleopatra and see what Mama Kimberly had to offer.

Only fair to the customers who happen to visit 5-0 which actually means 50 years or older granny with sagging breasts and very loose puntangs.
Hey its like taking a test drive in a new car dealer or a used car lot, who would you rather pay a higher tip to? Certainly not premium price for a used beat up car, same idea with these 50 plus KBG.
