He paid it dropped it in a mailbox but my friend recorded the boyfriend get it out of the mailbox. The guy texted him and claimed he never got it and had to pay additional $150 immediately. My friend told him he recorded everything and was forwarding the texts to the police then they stopped texting him. Told my friend he was stupid for paying the $100. His only saving grace was he used a burner and they used their real phone number.

It's crazy to think most of these people would try to run an extortion scam on one of us. They are usually wrapped up in so much bad shit the last thing they want is a run in with uncle.

Then again, most of them are ignorant addicts so I guess common sense isn't their strongpoint.
