Regarding the other topic, for which you sought advice, here are some precautions that I've taken for first-time home visitors: (1) meet the provider away from the home to first determine if she seems sufficiently stable and safe; (2) bathroom door must remain completely open when provider is inside (because of concern about theft and unauthorized drug use); (3) provider is only permitted to be in the same room as customer (Q: "May I go get a glass of water?"
