You made two errors. One was an error in your choice of a word and the other was a misuse of tense. In your statement "should of went" the use of the word "of" is not only incorrect but nonsensical. The correct word to use is "have. " Then, you selected the past tense when the past participle would have been the correct choice. "Should have gone" would have been the correct choice and use of words.

I then wrote a little phrase that also had two grammatical errors in it. Let's play a little game. Can you tell the class what they might have been?

What school I went to does not matter. Transformational grammar is taught starting in the 7th grade so you can drop out of school in the 9th grade and still speak English good. The USA is the country you should speak proper English in.
