Saw an advert on craigslist in the casual encounters section for a hot 19 YO girl who needed help with her Xmas shopping and would reward whoever took her. I sent her an email. Never heard back and the ad is now gone. Think it was a real one since she said her location was Rock Island.

Most of the fake ads list location as Quad Cities or MLI (the CL abreviation for their QC listing), most of the real ones list the actaul city they are in. Can;t use this rule in other places like Peoria or Rockford.

It's my dream dammit. Just kidding. I've never dreamt of calling someone on the phone. They just happen to stop by you know.

Anyway I responded to that ad as well without a reply. I guess she found someone with really deep pockets. I would think the more the merrier.

Was stopping at the convenience store for some cigarettes a couple of weeks back when lo and behold Angel was parked next to me. She was a decent looking dirty blonde that used to be out last year. Anyway she blew up. Must have gained like 50lbs. She said that she is living in Clinton now and was down here for Thanksgiving. I passed on it but we used to have some good times together.

Wouldn't you know that our ladies of the night would find an alternative site to post their ads for free. The site's name is postearthbane. There are quite a few ads from Rockford already on it. It looks as if since CL is now cooperating with LE another site has popped up. Good for them. Let's hope ladies start posting on there from our area.

On occasion I have seen references to SWs walking on Route 67 in Rock Island. I have run the length of 67 from Milan to downtown Rock Island during occasional visits to the Quad Cities to no avail. Can anyone be more specific on what section or sections of 67 have provided positive results? Thanks in advance.

SR[/QUOTE]The best places are following 67 south from the Centennial bridge until it Ts about a quarter mile sounth of the bridge. You can Follow 67 to Milan, but the best places to look are to hit the neghborhoods for a few blocks west of IL 67 between the river and about a mile south. You can occasionally find what you need in those areas and it si good because it is off the track. All times of the day and night are equally fine. IL 67 itself is kind of dead, but just off the highway is where to go. There are no guarantees, but it will yield results from time to time.

SR[/QUOTE]Illinois Rt 67 is much less active than the Iowa side of the river. I have seen a few girls along there. At various spots. I did find one there a couple months ago, was quite a ways from downtown near the first cheaper looking motel, going south. She was OK looking but freaked me out when she said she was on her way back home from babaysitting her grandchild. This just freaked me out so I let her go, gave her the impression I was just a nice guy offering her a ride. she told me if I changed my mind to come back to where I dropped her off (near a trailer park a lot further south) if I wanted to have some fun.

Looks like she is getting a new trial on the charges since they would not let her present any evidence to say the guy had abused her in the past.

Wonder what happened to the rest of the girls who worked at Sugars. There were a couple of good looking girls there that I am sure were unable to find productive employment.

On December 17 the Iowa Court of Appeals overturned a woman's manslaughter conviction, ruling she should have been allowed to enter expert testimony about battered women's syndrome at trial.

Megan Price was convicted of voluntary manslaughter in Scott County for the January 2007 fatal stabbing of her boyfriend, Allen Johnson, in Davenport. Court records show Johnson had been abusive toward Price for much of their relationship.

Price testified in a first trial that ended in a hung jury that she and Johnson were arguing when he said he was going to kill her and came at her to hit her. Fearing for her life, Price stabbed Johnson. She did not take the stand in the second trial, which resulted in her conviction.

In both trials, the district court rejected Price's motion to allow expert testimony that she showed symptoms of battered women's syndrome.
