Have not heard anything about a cheaper ED drug, but what I HAVE heard is that Viagra is going generic, which would lower the price A LOT.

The generic for viagra is Revatio.

The generic for Viagra won't be around till sometime in late 2017 I think I read. Revatio is the same ingredient as Viagra just in a lower dose (20 mg) and supposed to be prescribed only for pulmonary arterial hypertension. Now can you get a dr to say I think you might have PAH and prescribe it? Maybe.

They have now started distributing medication simply labeled sildenafil. Not viagra or revatio. I recently went to my urologist and he prescribed it for me. He said it is the exact same thing as the viagra I was used to. Same ingredient, same effects, etc. For viagra I was paying $240 for 6 pills. For the sildenafil I paid $110 for 90 pills. They come in 20 mg doses, so I'm taking 2 pills at a time. Before I was cutting the 100 mg dose viagras in half. This makes it about 10 percent as expensive as before. I bought it straight from the doctor's office. Didn't have to go to the drug store. Any body who has a prescription for viagra should talk to their doctor about this new version.

I emailed her with only an hours noticed and she moved a few things around to accommodate my schedule.
