Just some info on Heineken Light beer. I've noticed many girls trying to upgrade their drinks to HL, don't do it!! Not for an outrageous $40!! It's extra light beer. Alcohol content is between 3. 7-3. 8%. Your better off buying Miller, Bud, or Coors light for $20. These American beers have 4. 2 % alcohol. And believe me, that 1/2 % of alcohol makes a whole lot of difference if you if you driving and get flashed with blue lights. Don't spoil'them, it's just going to cost you more in the long run.

The times have changed, the bar scene as it stands. You can either accept it or not go.

It is what it is and that is the reason why the Korean Bars and Bars in general are dying.

These young guys will not spend money to sit with a pretty (or not so pretty) woman at $20-$40 a drink when they can get the same at any club. The clients that patronize the bars are generally older and when this generation passes so will the Korean Bar. This business model will be almost obsolete. Sex and alcohol sells and there will be a few hold outs but generally the bar scene will be pretty dismal it's pretty dismal now. This just my 2 cents that others in the past have also expounded. You are not the first and won't be the last to voice this sorry state of the Korean Bar scene.

Like the dinosaur one day in the future the KB will be extinct. These women don't know how to change and they will squeeze what they can like there is no tomorrow. Just remember what was good back in the 70's for spending money you need to times that by at least 3 x's or 4 x's as far as money. If not I wouldn't waste your time go longs and pick up a 6 pack cheaper, stay home and drink.

No. The next thing they did was open a bottle of select 55 or mgd 64 I think, whatever the girls think is the low calorie beer, and they poured that into the heineken light bottles recapped them and put them into the ice bin. Soooooo. We asked the girl what she was doing. She said heineken light is $40, but they don't like the taste of heineken light, so they dummy the bottles. So they had some sucker on the hook buying a lot of heineken lights! at $40! WTF!

Went to evergreen yesterday food was terrible. I guess they don't care about daytime business. Before was OK now not OK.

I think most guys go to drink and unwind after a hard day at work but to each his own. The food situation varies as the barback or bartender have to buy all the food now days. There is no subsidy for food like in the old days. Plus these young guys no leave tip. They come in have one beer eat their fill and leave a $1 tip. Really chicken shit asses. Myself, I really don't care if they drink real alcohol or not, I'm not trying to get them drunk. Nothing worse than a drunk bar girl. " When it's one of the girls serving you, they are on a mission for your wallet regardless whether you are into them or not. Some of the waiters can be jackasses but some can also be cool. Can't hurt to buy them a drink time to time if their service is good. It's like just drinking with a bud and they will even give you insight on the scene if you're cool. If you guys are at that cool status, it's much easier to request for a particular girl with him and he won't expect anything in return. Plus unlike mamas they usually won't push unwanted girls on you. All in all having a waiter serve you allows things to happen on your terms with no hassle. As far as managers, well it's just an extra mama so I don't know why you would want that. In fact they can also be more aggressive as they want to make money too but know the girls take priority.

I agree with Blade. Sometimes having a male waiter isn't too bad. Often times they are more open and honest about the girls that are there, or not there, which can be insightful. Also their conversation in regards to guy stuff like sports is usually more detailed and on point. I go to 74 sometimes, their waiter Hank is a really nice young, smart man. Very courteous and knowledgeable. He played pro baseball for a bit in Korea before a shoulder injury shortened his career. I bet on sports occasionally and his input has been helpful to me. I think that he has a bright future in the bar, or for that matter, wherever he goes.

If I'm estimating right, you just worked 1 to 2 full days to enjoy one avg night at the bar. If you buying Heineken Light, you just doubled your hard working workload to someone who just outsmarted you. Do you get the picture?. These girls coming from Korea who normally make 10-$15 an hour, just outsmarted you cause you're too nice. 2-3 drinks ($20) per hour is a good pace. HL would make that $80-$120 per hour. The his is reality. I make an avg of over $300 an hour, but I never let (almost) let them spoiled brats take advantage of me. And believe me,. When they drunk off my $20 american beers, their true colors come out big time!
