Now you can probably beat the charge but its a hassle. I know a few people charged with that for turning down the wrong street not doing anything wrong.

Basically they can make up anything on you especially if you have a bad attitude. Remember cops are better lairs than you. They do it for a living you don't. I was driving yesterday around 4 pm when I seen Amber getting chased down by some dude. He got her, had her pinned down yelling at her while she was kinda laying on the sidewalk. If nothing on John are, you can go East on 6 mile and check out the area's between Dequindre, Jos Campau and Conant.

I haven't had much luck lately, so I can't recommend a time that's best but definitely would be during the daylight since you're not familiar with the area.
