That's actually a question which I asked. I was told that having the recording definitely can't hurt, however it's admissibility to the court can get complicated. It depends on a few factors and each case is different. That opens it's own can of worms which went beyond the scope of our short time. The take-away I got from that is that you can't be smug and assume that just because you have that kind of evidence that it can be used and will save you.
