I don't mean to sound thick, but have you never been to a DC AMP before at night? None are lit up like a circus sideshow. They all sort of look closed as to not attract attention.
Now in light of that, you saying that they looked closed, but did not go check it out isn't really saying anything, is it? You should have, parked your car, walked up and checked it all out, then post the results here.
The other day I was having lunch in the cafeteria at a certain DC government building because I was performing a certain civic duty. Anyway, at lunch I was joined by two people who were there doing the same thing as I, an older and most likely gay gentlemen of about 60 and a friendly relatively attractive woman in her thirties.
So we're chatting it up and I turn to the left and see two Loopettes (of the 14th & K variety) with whom I've had relations with on occasion. They were both smiling and heading my way. I felt my face redden up and panic approach but I quickly said something like "yeah, and I'm the Mack Daddy".

I came across this site about two weeks ago and have been spending time reading up on the DC, MD and Virginia boards. Even though I am not new to the hunt, I never realized how much information was available and I only wish I had found this place years ago when I had to learn most of what I know by trial and error. All of my previous experience with AMP’s had been in MD where I never was able to get FS. I went to Downtown on March 31st at around 12:30 but was unable to get in. I assumed that my appearance did not match their typical clientele and planned on returning another time. I was obviously very disappointed, especially because of the fantastic reviews I had read so instead of giving up I decided to try Supra. I got there around 4:30 and this time I made it in. Since this was not my first trip into an AMP I was comfortable dealing with the mamasan. She asked if this was my first time there and I admitted it was but added that I had been to Downtown about 6 months ago. I took $60 out before she asked any more questions and I think that made her comfortable that I knew what to expect. I asked for a lineup but she said she would get me someone special (aren’t they all?) and I was introduced to Kelly. She was wearing a denim miniskirt and a bikini top. Cute face, about 5’-5”, natural B cup, medium build. I usually like them shorter and thinner but I had not complaints. She took my hand, led me to the TS and paid attention to the required spots. When we got back to the room I asked her for some water and when she was out of the room I laid out 5 J’s and placed it on the table under my watch. (Great tip I got from this board!!) Dammitalltohell, Asia late this morning was locked up tight. An encouraging note is that there were no "remodeling" signs posted, so maybe there is hope for a thriving Asia in the near future. One more thought. Isn't it a coincidence that the gentleman's review and many of the DC amps all went on vacation at the same time? And they ask me why I drink!

Thanks for sharing your unexpected "encounter" with those two BSWs. I have also bumped into a SW unexpectedly during the course of my normal daily routine. Fortunately for me, I was alone when it happened. When I was walking to work one day, this woman approached me and asked if I recognized her. Immediately, I thought about this SW from L Street that I had not seen in a few years, but I was not sure if it was her. I knew that the woman would have been offended if she wasn't who I thought she was so I just told her that I recognized her face but could not remember where from. I have decided to visit Spring Spa in springfield, Va on Backlick road and I was so pissed off when I walked out the door.

I have been to Mirage at night before mucho times. Usually when they are open, the light on the porch is on and you can kind of make out some light coming from the windows (even though they're covered).
When I was there a couple of nights ago, the porch light was off, there clearly were no lights on inside, and there was a sign on the front door.
That's why I say it looked closed to me.

I read the Draft Legislation that Linda Cropp is putting forth to the City Council. The propsed legislation would allow the US Attorney or any community based organization to file an action against, enjoin abate or prevent a prostitution related nuisance. It also requires to limit the practice of massage to licensed therapists and redefine the term massage estsablishments. Also you get charged once for prostitution they close your business. This is what Glendenning did in Maryland. I think they need to be looking after real criminals and not ones that you never see. Getting rid of AMP's is wrong. It is very rare that you have a problem in one of these places. Yea, I have seen some guys drunk that kick holes in the walls or mistreat a girl. But no cops are called unless it is out of hand. They should figure some other way to regulate if that is what they want. Put a tax on it. 9% tax, that would create more revenue for the city. Guys, it looks like this bill will pass and if it does where do we go? Just my thoughts on what may be the end of one of my favorite past times.

Motorback is right, but here's a quick compromise - read the comprehensive post by distinguished WSG Senior Member LoveLOS here on the DC board, posted on 01-02-2004. It can be found on page 31 (if this is page 1) and will tell you all you need to know, including addresses, etc.
I'm sure that you could stay more than 1 hour, but obviously both the house fee and the expected tips would be greater than the standard fees for 1 hour of $60 house and $100 tip. The extra amount would vary from AMP to AMP but would most likely be about the same (1 1/2 hours = $90 house fee, 2 hours = $120 house fee, etc.).

Sounds like you did more or less the right things, it is always best to say nothing and just put the money on a table nearby and most importantly, don't let her take it until you are finished with her and of course, you don't touch it either but you can still threaten her with it.
I have been burned once with a girl who didn't want to do anything except back and hands massage. Just saw the 11:00 news on channel 4 and the story was about a big street prostitution bust on Eastern Avenue in Northeast. I don't recall seeing any posts on that area before. Seems like things are slow in DC right now and I got an idea this was happening about 2 weeks ago. Tried my usual scene, IHC, and was told they were closed even midafternoon. old event and late post, sorry guys, but I'd figured it was better late then never. I was in DC last week and finished up work early and decided to check out the favorite spot, Downtown. Stopped by Supra (again) last Friday. Everything was green lights. There was a new Mamasan there who was much friendlier than the other one. She said it was her first day there.
I wound up with Linda again, who is a bit older than some of the girls there, but who other than having a bit of cigarette breath, was very nice.

Regarding your last point, the protocol for a 2-girl session seems to be that you have to pay for 2 house fees for one-hour sessions, i.e. $60 x 2, plus the usual $100 donation to each of the two girls. Occasionally you can get away with paying for only one house fee, but obviously the two tips are unavoidable.
The key here is to never pick the two girls yourself, but let the first girl decide who will be her partner-in-crime. If you were ever to choose yourself and picked two girls who hated each other or who didn't work well together, you'd be wasting your money.
There's a couple of recent posts on the Norwalk, CT and Waterbury, CT boards of WSG by guys who had two-girl sessions.

There are signs of life in DC. After reading the Wizmeisters report on Supra, I decided to do some recon myself. First made some calls and found that Mirage and Olympic answered and confirmed they were open. This encouraged me to head out and check further.
I stopped by Mini around 2 pm and it looked dead. Rang the bell and one of the Mamasan’s came to the door and said they were not yet open. She advised that they would be open after 6 pm.
Went on to Sun Spa by the MCI Center and found them open for business. Mamasan there scolded me for not coming by for a long time. She had two girls available Cece and Cindy. Both seemed a bit older (say 30) and were not the knockouts that we got used to at Downtown but they were attractive providers. I chose Cece who had long black hair and a glint in her eye.
TS was very good with all the proper attention to the right areas front and rear. We flirted during the TS with Cece saying she was from NJ and that she would be in DC for a while.
