Benz has been really great about sharing insight and info, on the boards and via DM. It's not like he's charging a fee, he's providing leads that I'd never know about otherwise. Not to mention some screening for the providers, which is an added layer of safety for them.

I've had only good interactions with Benz and he's been a great resource since I first joined the forum. I'm always puzzled by the posts dragging people but each to their own, I echo what Comrad said and that's not taking sides or whatever. That's just gratitude for help / info that I'd have no access to otherwise.

When a provider doesn't have any reviews, it is nice to 'feel her out' with a brief phone call to kind of get a sense of any vibes (good or bad) coming from her.

Without any reviews, it could be a guy posting for all we know. Or a person speaking in a foreign language from another country trying to spam for money. Or something even worse.

You're right, the call can be annoying for some proven providers. But others appreciate it, vetting out some bad apples on our end as well. I'll stick with it as a tried and true method when weeding out the fakes. YMMV in that regard of course. Thanks for your opinion.. food for thought.

What Cassidy said resonates with me, I would not appreciate an unscheduled call coming into my hobby phone. But I have no problem planning out a time, if either of us need to talk by phone.

Certainly never expected this provider to become the topic of this particular concern especially given how many have seen her and how many glowing reports exist, apart from her willingness to openly and thoughtfully engage the forum from time to time.

And not just now, but maybe years down the road. Just because an STG post gets taken down, doesn't mean it's gone. Can you imagine the unease if one of our ladies here had her teenaged son or daughter forwarded a photo of what her mom used to do? I cringe at the thought of that.

So maybe we could think compassionately (not just passionately) about our providers. I know for me, I get nervous going to certain areas of the city to see a provider. Why? Because I know people who live in that area. Once I showed up at a house. And the next door neighbor was my old boss. I actually canceled the appointment as I knew he was retired and still lived there. I just didn't want to risk facing an awkward situation. For that reason, I know want to know exactly where I'm headed for an appointment before I leave my house. Protect my privacy and dignity.

And my unease would be nothing like what the poor provider could face. It could be life altering. So I guess it's fair to ask. Do we really need to know exactly what a woman's areola looks like, or can we survive with an accurate portrayal of an areola doppelgänger? Seems silly.

Not to be that guy, but wasn't a monger outed by someone with a pic posted in the GR forum no less within the last 6 months? THIS. ! This would be why people take issue with a provider wanting a photo. Throw in the even more insulting fact that same providers (CJ isn't only one known for this in GR area) use fake pics of themselves using the excuse of needing to keep their identity protected, like somehow their personal info is more important than ours. And as for a having a history of good reviews. I have seen several providers who also have accounts on this forum that require pics for admission getting generic glowing reviews of "wonderful time" "surpassed expectations" "had an amazing time". Never any details of this is what is offered, this is what isn't offered, this is what we did, this is what I paid, this particular thing was annoying or I didn't care for". No real details. Either these couple providers offer the absolute best perfect service ever known to have existed in the world of providers. Or the men know the provider is checking what they wrote and are either threatening to blackball them, or worse since they have their photos. When it sounds too good to be true. Well, you know the rest.

To be fair I share your point on the constant half assed promotion of the same girls. We all see it. I simply ignore those. A half baked "review" means squat to a seasoned monger.

There is a certain angry element on this board that has been reviewing reviews with much more energy than they have been reviewing providers. There are some legitimate points & I have & will adjust my reviews accordingly, but there also appears to be an unhealthy fixation upon this small group of very popular providers. The response of this angry element appears to be more emotional than rational. There is likely more going on here than meets the eye than simple annoyance or a desire to steer the review posts in a certain direction. It is often best to not engage with unconstructive posts, but, whether I am a senior member or a newbie, I am reluctant to allow myself to be pushed around by self-important little people who are motivated by petty resentment and anger. That sort of behavior does not contribute to a free exchange of information regarding our collective experiences.

I suspect the dialogue taking place over the last couple weeks has dissuaded more than a couple posters from the forum. That may be what some want, but is that healthy for the forum?
