So, I wrote an email to the reporter and sent this link asking if she, the reporter, had slept through Investigative Journalism class. She actually responded in a calm manner assuring me that she, the reporter, had checked to assure she, the fat chick, had no criminal record (at least in Orange and Seminole Counties). I had told her that the tats alone screamed "I'm a hooker" and any good reporter should have picked up on that. She stated they didn't have the resources to do that much background check on just an interview with a neighbor.
I wrote her back suggesting a great investigative story would be to determine the cost to taxpayers of getting these nefarious criminals off the streets and to ask the burning questions, would that money be better spent helping to solve the 33 open murder cases on the books in Seminole County?
As of today she has not responded to that note. But you gotta figure it sucks to spend your life wanting to do good journalism only to discover in the real world there is only one "Sixty Minutes" and even they fuck stuff up.

C3, you hit the nail on the head! The only thing I would add to this conversation with the reporter is:
"Having enough resources to look at some of the ads on BP in order to confirm suspicions one might have when interviewing a questionable "guest" about nefarious activities where she lives is what you are already paid to do. Have some gumption to actually DO some investigative research when you do a story rather than simply regurgitate what people spew out to you. If I want regurgitation, I'll get it from Twitter!

If given time, support and resources, I'm sure some local reporters would be able to do quality journalism. Given none, these are the one-and-done stories we get. My 2 cents.

Tonight I noticed OC LEO parked near the porte-cochre of 2 different hotels in the Lake Buena Vista area. Both I have visited or dropped off BP girls at recently. Anyone know anything about busts or surveillance? No, it was not the Hilton, where leo frequently meet for drinks and grub.

It's usually an off duty LEO doing a second job as security. Some hotels you don't have to worry about it. But it does spook people.
