She agreed to 200 and said we should meet at coffee shop first. I went thinking it was a meet and greet then we would schedule something at a later date. I went and she looked like pics. Late 40's early 50's fake tits and a great figure she emmilediatly starts asking if I brought the money. I tell her what I thought the meeting was about and she says if you don't have time I will get a hotel for tomorrow just pay me for it now. Stupidly I gave her money mostly cause of the was she looked and she seemed good to go. I texted her this morning to confirm and she said yes but for double the original amount. It was my own fault for giving up the cash I should have known better. She went by Bella but her profile has now disappeared. For as long as I've been doing this its a wonder theis is the first ripoff.

It's not something most women in the states would be on. I usually give them the benefit of the doubt if they mention Snapchat or Kik though, although Kik is being more and more infrequent as the years go by. It's mostly the older women that use it.

Hey Gents, a while ago my SA account was put "on hold" pending a verification step through a third party. Requirements are a phot of a government I'd and a selfie. I'm not super excited about that and have pretty much walked away from SA anyway since it's a bit of a shitshow with the ladies anyway.

I'm just curious if anyone else has been hit up with mandatory verification and if you did it, what the outcome was. Doesn't seem super discreet to me.

Thanks.[/QUOTE]Yes, seeking is a tad bit of a shit show. I know when I signed up a few months ago there were a few ways to verify. I didn't like the gov't I'd option or anything that official. But you can use social media to verify as well. Just make a throw away Facebook, Instagram, or Linkd in, and use that for the verification. Should be good to go at that point.

There have been times where there have been scam sites that posted pics of men from SA, labeled them as sex offenders and demanded money to have it taken down or else have your name released, or something to that effect. I won't even put any pics of myself on there at all. I used to put one up as private and then show if I felt comfortable, well, one time I had a CS issue with them and they gave me some free time. When they reinstated me as a paid member my pics defaulted to visible. Their security sucks and they give zero fucks.

Not having a pic makes it a lot harder on their, but the risk doesn't seem worth it to me and I'm not married and have nothing to hide, but the scams are only going to get more sophisticated.

Was there a reason given they put you on hold in the first place? Makes me wonder if say a girl reports you for solicitation (usually not even true, they're just assholes sometimes), or their algorithm pics up on something in your communications to indicate something potentially illegal, that they then require personal information to be gathered. I'm asking because it could be a pre-emotive move by them to bolster their position as a legitimate dating site and agree or at least say to LE they're doing their due diligence and if subpoenaed will cooperate.
