Lucy is incredibly overrated, if we are indeed talking about the same Lucy FBSM (if we can call it that) in Cville. In my previous review of her I stated she was expensive. In comparing the two ads (the BP one is no longer active) it was clear they were for the same provider and the review was a bad one, so that's why I decided to report to the forum for the benefit of any monger who had her on his radar screen. I know the fake pic issue has been the subject of much debate but, IMHO, it doesn't automatically disqualify a provider because she may be doing it for privacy reasons. Just to be clear, fake pics + no reviews are a dealbreaker for me. But if a provider has good reviews, and for whatever reason has decided not to use her real pics, I might take the plunge based on the strength of the reviews.

That way if the provider isn't happy with the tip (or lack thereof) the opportunity for any pressure or unpleasantness is minimized. IME, most FBSM providers are OK with getting the massage fee up front and the tip afterwards. FWIW, if I'm getting dressed and the masseuse is still in the room (and obviously expecting the tip right then) I will ask to use the bathroom and that usually buys me enough time to finish getting dressed and decide how much I want to tip.

From my prior visits with KK I think if you had just started getting dressed, without any discussion of $, she would have left the room to let you finish. At that point you would have noticed that you only got 45 minutes instead of the full hr. Then, as you were ready to leave and handing her the 120 for the massage, if she had asked you for an additional tip you would have been able to say (politely, of course) that you didn't get the full hour (or that you didn't bring extra cash, or whatever other reason you might think of) and that might have been a less awkward or pressured situation for you. And at the same time it would have been a reminder to her that if she expects an additional tip then at a minimum she needs to give you the full hr.

I mentioned above in the title that there may be some circumstances where you may have to pay the tip up front. I generally never do this because IMHO it diminishes the incentive for the provider to work hard to earn a good tip and my repeat business. But there are times when it's my first visit to a masseuse and, as she begins the sensual part, she may ask for the tip up front. I dislike haggling so many times I'll just tell her I'll take good care of her if she does the same for me. But if she insists and if I think I might want to see her again, then I might give the tip up front. But that's the exception, rather than the rule, IMHO.

When she first got back she was in the Dulles area and advertising 150 for the hour and I've also seen her advertise 45 min specials for 100. IME she's not a clockwatcher and will run over time if she's enjoying herself and doesn't have another appt scheduled.

I'm sure, like many providers, she may try to charge whatever she thinks she can get but when you know the donation history that makes it easier to push back a little and, as long as it's not a really busy time, more often than not they'll accept the lower amount. As far as service is concerned, she has a ton of reviews on the oThER site so it's pretty clear what she's into.
