Yeah I want to agree with the general feelings popping up here. It appears LV has tightened up at every level. I even notice in last 5 years. Even relative dumps like Flam and Baileys think their shit don't stink and run them off. (Their shit DO stink BTW, literally of smoke.) It actually made me laugh seeing the security or semi security-whatever those people are they are like eyes for security and just enuf shot on their belts like maybe like jr. Security. To keep them out- walking NONSTOP up and down the tiny playing area constantly on the look out. I don't know why they can't feed the mongers need but I have my suspicions. As talked about here the lower end joynts seem to be mostly aacg. We speculated here they kind of divided high end casinos have the expensive of all ethnicities then for whatever reason it's almost all AA in like Flam etc. Cause they can keep the price point reasonable. But somewhere along the line the low-end cgs no matter who they were must have got too aggressive and started to really give the properties a bad name rolling or semi-rolling johns. Those guests bitched to security or the stories just got around. And have to admit some just *look* like they are ready to roll ya- they just look street smart and aggressive as hell. Those of any stripe I stay way away from. Anyway the pendulum seems to be back to runnin them off. Tuff days for infreq visitors who can't build a local list to count on.
I've been living here for 4 years now, I'm about fed up with the action here in Vegas, it's not great for locals. Sure you can find CG's but you have to have a room or it's a no go. I would often get a room on the strip but that hasn't worked out well for me. First of all I'm a black man so at least 70% of the CG's will not give me the time of day. I thought if I threw on some slacks and a dress shirt I would get some action, that didn't happen. Secondly, if I did get one to talk to me the price was too high and they don't seem to want to negotiate a lower rate until after 4 am when things are drying up. Thirdly, I have to be in a hotel that will not hassle me when trying to take one to the room. My success rate was about 30%, so most of the time I got that room for nothing. I would get the digits of those that would talk to me, telling them I a local waiting to meet some friends and would love to hook up another time but catching them another day was damn near impossible, most of them sleep until it's damn near time to head back to the casinos that night. The SW's are usually BS and online is also a mess, I've searched for hours before giving up.
Last weekend I was in LA, within 15 minutes of searching online, I identified several providers with dozens of reviews and great rates. My only problem was deciding which one I wanted to see so I saw 4 of them over 5 days, all were great and the rates were too, none were over $$. I decided to stop wasting my time here and take a trip to LA at least one weekend per month, maybe two. For some reason, hotel rates in Orange County are very reasonable. Stayed at a Hilton last weekend for $ per night. The time and $ I save are well worth the 4 hour drive. I asked all of them if they visited Vegas, most said no, a few said not that often. They all indicated there were too many issues working in Vegas because they didn't want to work the casinos and they got limited responses from online ads.
