I've been checking out the reviews on different rip clubs around LA and was wondering what the majority of girls are at KH8, Silver Reign and Spearmint Rhino downtown? (ethnicitywise) Im staying in downtown LA so I wasnt hoping to travel too far from there =S
Im coming to LA in 2 weeks and read a couple of reviews on the strip clubs down there. Just wondering what type of women (ethnicitywise) they have at Spearmint Rhino and KH8?
That middleman thing sounds weird...
How does it work, at Starz for example? Does the guy at the upstairs bar keep track and collect the cash, or is there a dedicated sitting in the lap area keeping track?

The ladies need to check in with their handlers and then the PLM is supposed to pay the guy she checked in with.
I think its a little niave to think this procedure was put in place to protect the PLMs, more likely it is to protect their bottom line, which is fine, hell, I don't work for free and I don't expect them to either.

I may have to make a trip to Gardena one of these days to check out the clubs. For those who have been recently, how are the clubs faring in terms of dancer quality/quantity and laps? I assumed that the economy would bring out the girls and loosen the laps, but from what I've heard from other clubs things are just the opposite.

Quality/quantity will probably depend on your personal tastes and expectations. Lapwise? Like clubs in any other suburb, YMMV... but if you land the right one, you'll be calling it "Hard-ena".

King Henrys is around the corner and they have some nice looking ladies over there too. Higher mileage over there. If I were you I would avoid the Barbary Coast and First Kings because you can't drink alcohol at the coast and the girls are really young, some even seem to be around middle high school age working with fake ids. And First Kings is a dive.

I've never been to the Gardena clubs but let me put in a good word for City of Industry. Within a very small radius, there are four or five real good clubs. If you look around for coupons, you can go check several of them out without travelling far and without spending a lot on entrance fees. I can't believe any male could go to Hawaii Theater, Spearmint Rhino, Deja Vu and maybe Bliss and not find the perfect lady to spend a little time with.
I've actually never had to go to all four to be satisfied. About 75% of the time, I'm happy with the pickings at HT or SR and if I'm not, I go to the other and find what I'm looking for.
Not knocking any other place. Just telling you what works for me.

I stopped by KH8 two nights ago and saw Lovely, Latte, mercedes, buttercup and skye among others dancing. I got some extra's with Latte in the back and then went home and slept well. As discussed earlier in this forum, I no longer paid my dance money to the girls but once done I had to pay the guy working the clipboard, the same guy who let's you in the club. I still "tipped" Latte for the extra. She told me that some girl got caught not telling truth on how many dances she was doing or something like that and so now the money goes to someone else to collect.
I need to go back to 1st King and get the Baldy treatment, it's been a while since my King has been crowned by Princess!!

Gonna be heading back to LA for a visit next week. I will be staying in the Burbank/NoHo area. Any tips on good clubs in this area? Not too picky, but I do like a little private area where I can get some hand relief. Let me know.

Here's my 2 cents on the whole Gardena thing. For a while Starz was one of my favorite clubs, and I was a big Gardena fan. But recently (though it's been a few weeks...) the thrill is gone. Yeah, Starz does have some good looking girls. But between the dancers who are only there to socialize with the locals and the generally low mileage and non-topless dances, it just isn't that much fun anymore. I'm basically there to get some high mileage laps from some hot looking girls. And ideally I'm looking to have her get me off in 3 or 4 dances. I'm not there to socialize, and I'm not there to drop $200. But the bottom line for me on Starz is most of the dancers give dances that are about the same mileage you'd get at a place like SJP, where the laps are only $10. They mostly sit in your lap, facing away from you, and bang your crotch with their booty. No manual dexterity whatsoever, and most of them make no attempt to get you off. Yeah, there are a couple of exceptions. And the times I've been to KH8 have been equally disappointing. Last time I went a few weeks ago, there was only one girl I wanted a dance from (sorry, but most of the KH8 girls don't do it for me), and the laps I got from her were about Starz mileage. I was like, WTF ???? I think her name was Pebbles. Very nice girl, but damn. Anyway, the other girls just hung around the locals/regulars at the bar and I would have had to tackle them to get a dance. And I didn't see any mileage going on anywhere, not even grabbing the johnson to say hello.
FK dancer quality has always been at the low end IMO, and mileage is hit and miss. They seem to attract dancers with butts so wide you need a yardstick to measure them. Some guys like that, not me.
I guess I was spoiled by some of the clubs like TL and HT and others years ago (pre-VIP) when a $20 lap dance would be VHM and you were almost guaranteed the dancer would be hot. Damn, I remember a couple of very hot dancers who used to start the $20 lap dance by reaching into their purse for lotion. It seemed like the dancers were there to please the customers, and now the dancers are there only for the customers to please THEM.
Don't get me wrong, a bunch of the girls have really nice personalities. But I'm not looking for a date. And if the only way to have a good experience is to become a regular (like every week), and socialize with the dancers all night, and buy them all drinks, and shower them with dollar bills onstage, and drop $200 before you get any mileage, then it becomes about them, not me. Unfortunately, I think that's getting to be the way things are with strip clubs in general.

Was at the RBc again recently, and the % of dancers who were young, slender, pretty hot, and had great attitudes, and paid attention (came up to thank and talk) was 80-100%! OK you can't get drunk here 1st to make the girls look good, but you don't have to resort to that here. They look good naturally and sober!
Ok, there are a few real hot lookers sometimes at Starz, and I am sure there are a few here and there at FK AND KH8. But my exprience has been it was hard to stand watchin and dealin with all the UFO's long enuf and often enuf to find any. Sorry guys. I don't like my girls by the pound. I didn't mention RBC because I haven't been there in many years. Seems like whenever I go by, or stop at FK, RBC looks closed.
I think that the Gardena clubs are off my list for a while. It's just not worth it when there are better clubs around.

Hate to bump my own post, but I really need some info. I don't have a problem traveling outside the NoHo area. I really just want to find a good place that has private/curtained off area where a good dance can lead to some action. Thanks.

You can get lucky in many clubs but the odds are high in two areas. There are the Gardena clubs (First King, Starz, King Henry VIII and Ron's Barbary Coast) and there are the City of Industry clubs (Hawaii Theater, Spearmint Rhino, Deja Vu, Bliss, Synn).
I've never hit up the Gardena clubs mostly because I'm one of those guys who finds all tattoos ugly and all the pics and reviews I've ever seen of dancers at the Gardena clubs make it look like Tattoo City. If that doesn't bother you, they seem to be very friendly places, especially once they know you as a regular. Also, Gardena is mostly black dancers, which is fine with me but might matter to you.
The City of Industry clubs have a wider array of skin colors and the skin seems to have less writing on it. I've never been disappointed with a trip to COI, though I gather the prices are higher than what you pay in Gardena. I usually go to either Hawaii or Rhino and if I don't see what I want in 60 minutes, I go to the other, which is about a mile away.
In any other part of L.A., my experience has been that every club except the real dives has a couple of great looking dancers, some of whom would be very happy to suck your cock or sit on it for money. In some clubs, especially the ones in West L.A., the management rules seem to vary from week to week, depending on how nervous they are about the law. I went to a West L.A. club about two years ago where I went into the lap dance booth with one of the best-looking dancers I'd ever seen and without me even hinting or offering $$$, she immediately hauled out my johnson, took it bareback in her mouth for one dance, then covered it and rode it for two more. It was a "tip whatever you like" deal and about as good an experience as you could have in a strip club. Naturally, I went back but only two weeks later when I walked in, the same dancer told me before we went back to the private area, that the heat was on so she couldn't give me nearly the same experience.
That's how it usually seems to me outside of COI, especially if they don't recognize you as a repeat customer. I am a regular at a club closer to home and I get treated very well there but you wouldn't be treated as well your first or second visit. I always tell friends not to tell the dancers you're from out of town because that's a red flag. It tells them you haven't been there before and no other dancer has found you to be cool, and also that there's not much chance of repeat business from you if they show you a great time.
In COI, the clubs seem to have very little problem with the law and because of where it's located, a lot of customers come from some distance but not so far away that they might not become regulars. This gives the ladies extra incentive to give you something you can't easily get at a club closer to home. I mean, if it's just going to be an air dance, you can get that without driving to City of Industry. So they're good to strangers down there.
I'm not shilling for the clubs there. I don't have a financial interest in them except that they've gotten a lot of my money. I just have always been happy with my trips down there. Someone else can tell you more about Gardena.

What are the VIP sections in these clubs like? I've seen clubs where guys will get blown pretty much right in the open, or with a bouncer walking by, and it doesn't seem to bother them. I'm not so much like that. Like I said earlier, I really like for their to be a curtain or barrier of some sort. Something for privacy.

The VIP sections in COI are usually private rooms with either doors or curtains. I've never felt a lack of privacy except that sometimes you can hear the couple in the next booth and you know they can hear you.
I don't know the Deja Vu in North Hollywood but I can assure you it doesn't have the mileage of any club in City of Industry. My experience has been that in a COI club, 80% of the dancers will offer VHM or UHM for reasonable prices and 20% won't.
Outside COI, the numbers are reversed. In some cases, that's because the club won't allow it. In some cases, the dancers just don't want to do that kind of thing. If they did, they'd be working in City of Industry.
It's usually possible to find a high mileage dancer in a low mileage club but it's more of a gamble. I'd rather drive to COI.

The two clubs I go to mainly there are Hawaii Theater and Spearmint Rhino.
I'm not sure what cover is at HT because when you get a VIP dance there, as I always do, it includes a free pass for your next visit so I haven't paid the door charge in a while. I think it's around $10 day and $15 evening. I hear there are coupons in local newspapers that knock those prices down but I never bother with them. I think a drink is around $7 (no alcohol) and if there's a per hour minimum, no one has ever enforced it with me. There's a higher price ($10 I think) for drinks for dancers which you're sometimes nagged to buy but I always say no and no one gives me any trouble. If I'm with a dancer when the waitress asks that, I always tell the dancer, "I'd rather add it to your tip" and they always like that.
Topless dances against the wall are $20. The VIP room is three dances minimum @ $40 each. I have had some very wonderful dancers there offer everything for just the VIP base price since they get a nice cut of that. I always tip at least $20 anyway. Sometimes, an extra tip is requested and that can be anything. There are a couple of very fine ladies who've been known to ask for $200 or $300 and maybe if one of them strikes your fancy, she might be worth that.
But for me, a visit might be $25 for a drink and tips for stage dancers. Then I might get two or three topless dances, mostly as test drives so that could be $40 or $60. Then the VIP might be $120 plus $40-$80. There have been visits though where I spent less than $180 total and left very happy.
At Spearmint Rhino, cover is, I think, $15 day and $20 night but there are free passes on their website and in the L.A. Weekly. I don't recall drink prices but I think they're about the same as HT. Topless dances are $20, nudes are $40 and they have a lot of two for one and three for one dances but the songs seem to get shorter with these. There's a VIP room that gives you four nudes in private for $160. They also have a $500 room for a half hour.
As for tipping for mileage, it depends on what you want. I've had some nice offers involving little or no tips if I went to the $160 room but I would tip at least $40. I would think you could get out of there happy for $250 easily.
Between the two, I think the girls are about equal. SR is a nicer environment and they have much better stage shows. One complaint I have about HT is that many of the girls don't dance and there are also long periods when no one is on the stage. That happens too at SR but when it does there, it means all the dancers are doing privates. At HT, there's often no one on stage and dancers are sitting around alone or with customers.
I have a slight preference for HT but depending on my mood, I might go to either. I haven't been to the other clubs there for a while so my info on them is not current.
Have a good time and don't take the first good offer you get.

Since Century Lounge came up, I was wondering if any of you guys have seen a dancer that used to dance there named Paris. Kinda trim athletic black girl, pretty talkative, and dark complexion. Danced on Sundays and Mondays after she had a tiff with management and they wouldn't let her dance the rest of the week. Anyone seen her?

Check out Ron's BC this past week, then walked across to First Kings had a few dances with "Butafli" at least thats how her name was written on the Roll Call list at the door and then ended the night at Henry VIII. Fun was had at all locations. Still for selection I would have to rank. Starz at the top followed by King VIII and then Ron's BC First Kings was OK just not for me.
