I am a newbie here, so forgive my ignorance. How do you know these ads are scams? I've seen providers with out of state phone #s before, with no problems. Just wondered what makes your red flags go up on these provider ads?
I have an internal checklist I go thru.
Ad frequency:
If I see your ad 10 times on the same day. That's a red flag to me. Specially if the details or price changes. Doesn't absolutely mean you're scamming, but if you need to post that much to get calls it's probably a reason behind that.
Pics:
Are pics professional pics (you can always tell by the perfect lighting and professional backdrop) that show clear picture of face. If so check to see if the same pics are consistently used with the contact number (google is your best friend). If the picture changes a lot then it's pretty sure it's fake pic. Doesn't mean she's a scam, but fake pics indicate basic dishonesty if nothing else.
On the flip side, if the pics don't look professional (cam phone shots) I usually think it's legit because most people wouldn't steal cam pics.
Blurred out / obscured faces. There are legitimate reasons for a provider to do this, so I wouldn't disqualify a girl solely on this, but professional looking photos are with blurred face shots are always a red flag to me. If you're a full time pro and can afford professional shots, there's no reason to blur your face IMO.
Phone number Origin:
If the contact number is out of state, is it from far away. (like Vegas, AZ or CA)? If so I always google the name or number to see where else she has posted ads. If I see ads in every city in the country I usually move on because a person who moves from place to place is more likely to give you a bad experience than someone who visits one or two locations on a regular basis. The exception to this rule are the upscale providers who travel, but I'm not spending their kinda money anyway.
I like girls who tend to post from area codes that are within 2-4 hours driving distance of the triangle. Chances are better that a local or semi local is trying to build up clientel and is not trying to burn anyone.
Conversation:
This is the final test for me. I can usually tell if I'm going to get along with someone by the conversation. I know some girls want to stick to business, but if I can engage with them a bit it makes me feel more comfortable about visiting them. When I get the line "Call me back when you're ready to setup an appointment" before they even ask my name, that's a red flag to me. My thinking is if you're to busy to chat for a minute then why'd you answer the phone. These are the type of chicks who will answer the phone on you during your session.
