Do you think this might have been some sort of neighborhood watch? I've heard at least 2 other mongers with the same story,deserted one way street, civilians getting a look see, the civilians dissappear and Uncle LEO coincidently comes to visit. The guys I speak of aren't members here just friends of mine but I'm thinking community activists are trying to coordinate efforts to "clean" up there streets. These incidents happened on the same two block stretch, 5 blocks off the ave, both at night. I know this goes without saying to you Super but to the Juniors out there, watch your 6, be aware of your surroundings, and have fun.

I have always wanted to do some mongering in the LA area, especially after the reports and pics of mongers like Baldy Cruiser. There seems to be a fine selection of SWs in LA. However, this trip was very short, flying in one morning and out the next morning, and my day and evening were spent entertaining clients. Maybe next time.

I suppose anything is possible. This was about the same area you describe:a one way deserted street (not even any residences), about 5 blocks from the K. Send me a PM regarding the 2 block stretch in question and I will be able to tell you if it matches up.

There was certainly little reason for anyone to be walking on this block at that hour of the evening, and especially circling the block a few times for second and third looks.

But if he was some kind of community watch, there was plenty of time from the first time he passed for Uncle LEO to have shown up and that never happened.

All this nonsense, of course, is exactly why I rarely engage in car dates. I chalk it up to grabbing a Big Mac every now and then, as opposed to going to a nice restaurant. Convenience food and convenience mongering is what it is.

Several weeks ago I mentioned that a SW I have dated and have known very well, sent me a PM and shared with me some of her points of view. Several other SWs since then, perhaps motivated by my report of that, have written to me in the same vein, and one has agreed to give me a running anonymous observation of her experiences on the K. I call her my "Deep Throat." If you remember, this was the name Bob Woodward gave to his anonymous "deep background" informant on the Watergate story. What a perfect double entendre nickname for her. When I wrote to her to tell her my new nick for her she thought it was very appropriate and amusing.

Deep Throat is not your ordinary everyday SW on the K. She is from the burbs, very intelligent, and is in this for the money rather than to feed an addictive drug habit. Am I dead certain of that?: no, of course not. I am telling you what she has told me, and I rely on my good instincts and common sense to tell me that it is true. Am I dead certain that everything she is relating to me is true?: also, of course not. But I am guessing she has no particular axe to grind one way or the other, and her stories have as much credibility as those of any monger in this forum. But I did feel it would be both interesting and beneficial for mongers to hear from the other side of the fence.

My assumption going in to this was that most mongers are good guys, perhaps because one likes to think that most people are like you. Deep Throat quickly disabused me of that notion. Apparently there are many mongers out there whom one might categorize as "bad guys." While Deep Throat has fortunately never been robbed, beaten, raped or been the subject of any type of physical harm or abuse, she has had to deal with some characters that you and I probably would not like to deal with if we were in her shoes. Here are just a few examples:

1. The cheapskate: There are apparently many versions of this guy, from the one who wants a BJ to start while driving to the spot (and then doesn't seem to have any money), to the guy who does the deed and says, gee, I only have X, to the guy who gets to the spot and pulls out a wrinkled Linc, and figures he will get away with that, thinking that she is already time committed. No wonder most SWs want to negotiate up front and get paid up front; I suppose we would too in their position. It makes the SW who doesn't talk money up front, and expects fair treatment AFTER the deed all that more special to the "good guys."

2. The cheap thrill seeker: There are apparently many versions of this guy too, from the one who wants the SW to lift up her top and show him her tits and/or pull down her bottoms and show him her puss right there on the street, to guys who want to have a stinky finger (either and/or both holes, and smell and/or taste it? CRIPES!) before deciding to go on a date, to the one who demands that the SW strip naked before getting started, or negotiating or exchanging money.

3. The incompetent/knucklehead: The guy who runs out of gas (and doesn't even have the money to buy any more; so with what was he going to pay for the deed?); the guy who finds a spot to park in plain view of pedestrians, residences, heavy traffic, and/or nearby LE and seems oblivious to the risks; the guy who wants to fuck bareback.

4. The con man: The guy who offers a high price and pays in counterfeit money; the guy who offers one price up front and then negotiates for a lower price on arrival; the guy who wants a lot more than for which was originally bargained (FS for the same price for which a BJ was originally negotiated; multiple cups at the same price for which one cup was negotiated).

It is no wonder even the best and sweetest SWs get jaded in a hurry on the K, and become somewhat hardened. But one thing you might consider: the best SWs service well for repeat business from good customers, and they appreciate it all the more when you are a good client, given all the bullshit with which they have to deal on a regular basis, so the pendulum can swing in both directions. Be a good monger and you just might collect the very best SWs as regular providers.

I think I struck a nerve with a few of the nicer SWs on the Ave, because, after I posted the revelations of "Deep Throat," I was PMed with a number of other stories to add to the list of mongers in the categories of cheapskates, cheap thrills, knuckleheads, con men and the just plain weird and dangerous. It would seem like there is a lot some SWs have to get off their "chests" when given a little encouragement.

So here is Chapter Two from the other side of the fence:

1) One persistently idiotic type of monger is the typically young kid who drives one of those pimped out cars, music "bumpin" loud. You ignore him, because you know that you're going to go to his window and he's going to say, "Shorty, wanna make a coupla dollaz?" And when he says "couple", he means "couple". So, after a lot of time and discretion, you feel it is best to just ignore these kinds when they come around. But boy, they are persistent fools. They'll go around and around a loop 18 times, causing a traffic jam, beeping the horn, yelling things out the window. These are my least favorites! I don't date those types unless I know them because I've taken the chance before. And every time I've said to myself, "This one looks OK, I'll go with this one..." it has proven to bite me in the ass every single time.

2) The infamous walk up date who has not come to you in a car parked down the street. No, instead, he walks up to you and asks, "Yo shortie, got somewhere we can go?" to which I usually reply, "I'm waiting for the bus, sorry," because the girls I know who have decided to go with usually come back robbed, raped by him and 2 of his buddies, and with a black eye. The infamous spot they suggest our date should take place is in an abando they know of or back at the tracks. NOT GOOD! I stay away!

3) Another type tries to negotiate price. If you do negotiate to something somewhat within the fair range, you go with them. They drive around forever and don't like anywhere you suggest to park, yet their idea of a good spot is right in front of somebody's house. They pull out a wad of money and hand you less than the negotiated price. You ask what's up. Their reply is, "Jeez, I thought I had more and I need to get gas". That crap is ridiculous because at that point, they have already wasted a good chunk of your time in which other worthy guys may have come by and wanted to date you.

4) Last Saturday, a nice looking white male pulled up in a Lexus and motioned for me to meet him down the street. So I do and he pulls over. I'm talking to him through the window. He says, "How much to fuck?" I tell him. He says, "How much to do you in the ass?" I reply to that. He says, "Can I take you to my house in Northeast Philly and offered me way over the price I suggested, he seemed VERY skitzy. When something seemed shady, I then noticed that he had his hand down his pants the whole time and that is why he was shaking - because he was wacking off. When he saw that I noticed, he gunned it, nearly ran my foot over and took off up the street. I noticed him about 8 other times that afternoon driving up and down the Ave.

5) There's one guy who comes around and I got into his car and he said that in order to prove to him that I wasn't LE, show him my tits. 6) The ones whom you see day after day, going UP AND DOWN, never stopping for anyone. They drive around and around and around, day after day. I guess they're window shopping. And I know I'm not scaring them away with my looks because I am not conceited, but I've been told by many dates that I'm one of the best looking girls on the Ave.

You can play "detective" all you want and surmise anything you please, but drawing conclusions based upon sketchy evidence doesn't make it so.

I would normally ignore something like this, but I feel an obligation to exonerate Janine from your outrageous supposition. Just so you are more fully informed, Janine doesn't even own a computer and can only discover what is written in this forum indirectly. So there is scant likelihood (and in this case NO likelihood, since I know that for a fact) that she could be writing PMs to me as "Deep Throat." So much for your detective work, although it was never my intent in sharing the viewpoints of a few nice SWs (and several are involved, not just one or 2) to make it some kind of guessing game as to their identities.

Without getting into your grammar and math, every time the button on your jukebox is pressed you play the same tired old song. It isn't nearly as simple as you "describe." Anyone with a little experience on the K knows there are some SWs who are only about the green and their next fix; there are some; however, who might be addicted, but still manage to be good providers; and there are some who are just down on their luck and making a few extra bucks. You can't lump them together and paint them all with the same tawdry brush. My experience is that, with a little discretion, you can find many SWs who can be a lot of fun. Thanks for pointing out that she had previously been reviewed. I had missed that. YMMV certainly always applies, but I can see where her general MO has some similarities in both cases as you pointed out. I have a tendency to go overboard, and I don't always put myself in the shoes of the poster when making a contentious reply. I appreciate that Cockmaster has a unique perspective. Few of us have lived on the K, lived on the streets, lived with a SW, used drugs or dealt drugs. We are sheltered from the reality of all that.
