Met a WSW recently in SW Philly. Chris (or was it Kris) was 26, about 5ft 5, maybe 115 pounds with brown hair. She gave me a demonstration of her excellent verbal skills. Nice personality, no drama, never complained that I was taking a little longer to finish that she probably expected. CIM w/spit. Have digits, will share with senior members.
That's what happens when we let the socialists, oh I'm sorry, "progressives" take over. They know whats best for us after all. That's why they want all of our medical records in a gov database, "oh you got the clap huh". What happened to all the screaming from the gay community about identifying and tracking the HIV/aids infected? Now it's OK as long as they track everyone?
Of course the up side is the way they are handling the economy, there are likely to be more girls out due to purely economic factors. I always seem to see an up tick in mongering activities and availability when the economy tanks. I suppose its a mixed bag.

I was not looking to turn this into a political forum....I should have pointed out that stopping every girl to make sure they have ID and are not wanted on outstanding warrants has been going on for at least the last 10-12 years that I have frequented the "K'.
As a product of the anti-war, anti-establishment culture of the 60's and 70's--this smells to me like a violation of people's basic rights. The Philadelphia PD has not always been cognizant of human rights over the years--in fact, their history is notorious (they dropped a bomb on the MOVE house in the 80's, killing 11 people).
Bringing up the term socialism in this discussion is misguided--Washington has no connection to how the Philly PD conducts business.
The purpose of having a database for medical records is to ensure that doctors won't perform unnecessary procedures or tests, especially in an emergency situation--it might even save someone's life. The gay community changed their stance on the HIV/AIDS tracking issue once it became obvious that HIV/AIDS was not just a "gay disease" any longer. Before that point, gays were in danger of being badly discriminated against, maybe even killed out of fear or ignorance.
The economy has been in the tank for well over the past 18 months--there has been an uptick in terms of SWer's, but the current SW activity pales in comparison to the late 90's--early 2000's. Back then, a monger could literally find girls on every block--from Torresdale all the way to Girard. And the quality of the girls back then was incredible--young, fresh talent was constantly popping up. Girls came from places as far away as Ohio or the Carolinas--the K had a reputation as one of the top drug and hooker emporiums in the land. The ease of obtaining drugs is what drives this market.

Last thing I want is to turn this into a political forum, but the police were given the authorization to drop that bomb by a black mayor, Wilson Goode, and being the worthless coward that he was, he pushed the blame onto everyone else.
Bottom line is--the current police tactics used on the K suck in my opinion. They have succeeded in terms of scaring off mongers--it would be nice if more SWer's adapt by hanging on to a cell phone and keeping it up and running. I would prefer not having to cruise the streets and I'm sure others will agree. That is why a board like this is valuable--it provides information and helps avoid run-ins with LEO.
I used a poor example in bringing up MOVE--so let's just say that the Philadelphia Police aren't on my list of charitable causes and leave it at that.

Actually she got out on Jan 9. So she's been out for almost a month now.

Hello from a newbie logging in for the first time.
Is it my imagination or has the configuration of the avenue done a complete 360’. The Dunkin’ Donuts is under new management. No more Kate? She was a fixture for so long. Where has she gone? I will not go into details (don’t want to give LE a heads up), but the avenue has changed a wee bit.
I have not seen a foot patrol lately, so I’m guessing we’ve gone back to the norm.

Last Fri., about 11-2, I had seen two leo at one of the stations standing on the steps hassling a SW.
Also had seen a van hassling another sw on a side street and at least three marked cars patrolling.
The DD was getting new cameras installed looking towards the street, parking lot, and drive thru. There is also a new sign stating about being towed if not a DD customer. Don't know what they are looking for, but might want to keep this in mind while on their property.

Guess you haven't been looking hard enough, as I still see Kate almost everytime I'm there. She is harder to find (if that want you want) as she has been smart enough over the years to keep a cell phone with the same number and never screw over customers. She has developed a nice customer base. Many times you'll see her get out of one car, only to have another there waiting for her.

I've never dated Kate. I like seeing her whenever I stopped by the Donut shop. Seeing her familiar face always made me feel good. Seeing her, meant everything was alright in god’s heaven. Not seeing her was like finding out the earth had suddenly tilted and life as we know it was changing.
I’ve never seen her leave or come back. She always seemed to just be there, waiting. I give her credit, she is classy.
My main point was; after the change in management, I haven’t noticed a lot of activity in the area.
