Found out who the BG is who smokes outside during day shift with the dresses: name is Annie (L=5; 34C; 5'08"). Not a KBG; possibly a CBG who has that mixed foreign / mainland accent for her English. Quiet, determined hustler for the nekos who works the joint well (generic BG). Looks better from a distance and at a glance.

It's already against the regs to allow a customer to sleep in a bar. Now explain to the inspector the purpose of the bed. <smile>
A lot of tricks have been tried before. The LC inspectors are as devious and underhanded as the MS and BG's are. Consider the inspector busted at Green Tee. These tricks to bypass the LC regs are only red flags to the inspectors. Which is also why the corruption persists.

[/QUOTE]Maybe I can help, these bars are a spinoff of the Geisha houses in Japan, where men would go to socialize and eat (like a business meeting after work) with their friends after a hard day's work. The Geisha's (Gisaeng for Koreans) would cater to the men, providing them with food, drinks and company. The men would compensate the women for spending their time with the men by buying them drinks, as in most Asian Countries, tips are included in the cost of the bill, thereby negating the exceptional service provided by a few women.
This concept was here in Hawaii in the 60's and probably before that (that is when I first went into a Japanese bar on Nuuanu St.) and the ladies would not bother the men if they didn't want company, they just provided food and liquor.
When the Koreans started to take over these bars in the late 60's, early 70's, they still provided food and company, but they started pushing women's drinks more. It changed to less food and more women's drinks in the 70's, where it stands today, where the women approach the men without offering them anything but company.
The men who once went to these bars in groups, are now lone wolves trying to play the woman, to see if they can get something other than a woman's company at the bar.
To paraphrase the situation, it is like going to see Bernie Madoff in a dress to see if you can get a high rate of return on your dollar; it just ain't going to happen.

They're inconsistent and unpredictable. Hostess bars however, are a good way to kick back, chill and kill time. I wish we could kick back and look at the girls at AMPs, talk story with them and then bang them. You know, build up the mood and anticipation first. You can of course when you're in the room with them but, you're limited to that 45-60 min time. That's why some guys like hostess bars. There's no set time on how long a BG will sit by you. It's going to vary. Some guys on the other hand, don't need and care for this. They just want to get into it right away.
As much as how some or maybe most people think that hostess bars / ladies drinks is spending lots of money, I actually go hostess bars when I'm feeling conservative vs going AMP. These people think as though you will be spending a minimum $100, $200 or more a night if you go bar. You can if you want to. Or, if you feel bad they'll look at you as cheap. If you know you have the control (most cases anyway) you'll not splurge. If I go AMP, that's a guaranteed 200 easy right there. I know as much as you and everyone else would want to go AMP every night if we could. But, we all know that most guys don't do this. The AMPs would be super busy if this was the case and we'll be super broke. With hostess bars, it doesn't have to be that way unless you allow it to be. When I go hostess bar, I don't think this: "I better start spending and buying BG drinks or else the bar and BGs going label me as cheap"
This is exactly what I thought Smile Spa was going to be when it first opened up. It had that bar with a TV and bar stools near the back. Mama even had me wait there once. Perfect opportunity wasted.

I also remember my uncles taking me to bars as a noob kid like Harborlights and Sportsman where it was about the group taking out 20s and leaving it on the table as tons of food was brought as the night wore on. It was never about the girl's drinks that I can recall but how much tip was on table when we left. I remember j ladys in full on kimonos and everyone usually was drunk by the end of the night but I think drinks was all in the 1 dollar range or less and beer was even less. KB bi*ch day bartender Ji Yong at Pharaoh still is not educated. Told a bar customer who was commenting (and not addressing her) that some bars have different happy hours. She told them to go to another bar if they didn't like it. Who made her the boss? No loss if tossed.
Pharaoh management needs to recognize that she is a business liability (alcohol and anti-social problems) and get rid of the old hag immediately. Nobody needs an employee who has diarrhea of the mouth and an anger management problem; witnessed and verified.

Lots of admirers probably due to her persona (better English, tall, big chichis, slim) but that is just a facade.

I still remember making $1.72 / hr at my part time job in 1973. So, from almost double my hourly pay, the cost of a nekohana has gone down to almost half my hourly pay. Such a bargain for a woman's time, it's cheaper to by a drink now than back then.
Crown shots were $3., beer was $.50, a small bottle of lancers for the hostess was $15., and a large bottle of Lancers was $30.
The hostesses paid the kitchen mama either $10 or $15 for food for all night, and Takeba's was always packed.

Mac salad, Kim Chee, Taegu, rice, bean spouts, watercress, and the house pupu either meat chicken or fish all free. I would go with $20 bucks, have 2-3 drinks pay 3 drinks and go home after 1-3hrs with change after leaving a tip. Now $100 gets you chips, or nuts with M&M's 3-4 beers 4-5 girls drinks after an hr. No bargins now, cause everything else is too high! Gas was 35cents / Gal $5 was a full tank. Now $5 gets you a Gal, bread was 35cents now 4-5. Now I pour my ice cold beer eat my poke, and sashimi in front of my New 42" LED Blue ray! No need to talk to old ladies! Back then there were 16 and 17y / o girls! Now 50plus clubs!
