Korean Bar Reports

Was going to check it out but my friend was busy with Lina last night and didn't want to jump bar without him. The last time I checked out Pharaoh a couple weeks ago place was kinda dead for a Friday night, and there's this weird seafood-ish smell in there. Anyway Damour was lame and slow last night, Camelot girls gave us the usual cold shoulder because we look like westside hoodlums. Napa was pretty cool though, we warmed up to one of the mamas over there. She is on the fatter side, with curly hair a little past the chin. Still haven't tried to buy any of the girls drink there, maybe next weekend.

Naomi at Evergreen kept on bothering me to buy her drinks, she confused me with my friend that bought her drinks the last time. She "wasted" 10 minutes sitting next to me as I didn't buy her anything the whole time we were there. Hurray for free leg rubs and micro pinches, I swear I'm always getting some type of physical abuse from bgs. ONe of the girls commented I had a "punchable" body, whatever the fudge that means. Anyway, wow it actually feels kinda good to say "no" for a change, a different kind of high. I kept telling Naomi I'm N. Korean and hate girls from the South. Naomi was cool about not buying her drinks though, when she left she didn't give a sassy remark or anything. She's also hot for her age, I applaud her surgeon as the plastic surgery actually "worked" positively for her face, hahaha. A Filipino local girl also sat with us for a while and we didn't buy her squat. You could tell she was "hating" a bit on us for throwing out our lame "korean" to the bgs. Funny cause the other kbg sitting next to her countered her saying it was cute that we were attempting to speak kbfd.

The Makaloa strip (Butterfly, Pharaoh, D' Amour, Evergreen) sucked, so I actually went to Sandy's Place after not going for uncounted months. By the way All Star was closed. I haven't been around there in a while so I don't know how recent that is.

Tried Winner 8 and saw a very young looking girl who passed for Viet Caucasian. She was busy in the back mauka tables and was getting shots two at a time. She had a long tattoo across her lower back; combined with her crack, they would form a capital "T".

Upstairs, Bushido had one customer and one lady. La Vie En Rose was packed with dudes but few girls. Napa was slow, but with some cute girls at the bar with customers.

Where are all the girls?

The girls there usually don't bother guys sitting at the bar. Of coarse the girls there tend to go after guys they think are big spenders more than other bars so even at a booth you can get ignored. I like the Oxtail that Laura (Butterfly) makes which is to me better than mayas one which is good too. Hana same place cooks good too. Lani at (Excel) in kalihi is good too. These girls not bad looking too which is nice. BTW, anyone seen Kimi who was Tahoe mama few years ago and worked at Hollywood last I seen her. She made the best poke I ever ate.

I'd rather just hit an AMP then waste my money at those places but I took out a friend that had never been to one before and we had some good grinds, didn't buy any girls drinks so no harm done. I went a few weeks ago when it first became Twilight and it was empty, with almost no girls. Hehe, you got me on the location; "off Kapiolani" so I was looking by Jazz Minds and up Keeaumoku, etc.

Last night I didn't notice a big-titted bartendress, but I didn't stay so she could have just stepped away. Check her out M10, then You get to be the guy with the 411 :).

There is, by the way, a big-titted hostess named Sue at Evergreen with nice buns that she likes to flash.

What's going on with all the bar closings? First Casino, then Maya's and now All Star. I know Maya is supposed to take over Evergreen, but how come no one wants her old place. Back in the day, there wasn't a day these places were closed. Renovations were done after the bar closed as all the booths were pre-made and just needed to be trucked in. If there are more closures, we won't have too many bars to go to.

I kind of thought you'd have the scoops, but if even you are wondering, then yes I think something is up. Well, everyone knows bars in general just aren't lucrative like they used to be.

I think its a combination of several factors starting with this current economy. DUI laws, lease rents, difficuties in recruitment, overhead costs etc have all contributed to business being slow. Bars giving less bang for your $ doesn't help either. As far as Casino, I heard talk of problems with the renewal of the liquor lisense along with 6 month back rent owed. Seems Kalihi is picking up a little due to some new openings and bg migrations.

Had some time off this weekend so I prowled the Kalihi area. Cheers Station was a disaster."Ma Yong" or something like that. Offered me a BJ in the karaoke room for two or three Benjie$. Avoid. Fugly and annoying.

Chocolate had some faces that were new to me. Not attractive to me, just new to me. Moved along.

Waiakamilo Shopping Center parking lot was infested with loudly insane shopping cart jockeys. Despite this, I dropped in on Green Tee, avoiding Carnival with Nani and the ROB twins. Made the acquaintance of "Sunny" (not sure if this is the correct rendering of her name). Tall (5'-6" is tall for me, LOL) , nice shape with a little pooch but I like a cushion for the pushin'. Fun conversation. Did not try for action. Treated the visit as recon. Will return to see where we can take this. Several other good lookin' ones but they all had pretty full dance cards. I got to meet this one as her previous customer pi55ed her off. I offered a few consoling words and she said I was a nice guy. (*thud*).

While I was at Green Tee, I was also approached by one who called herself "Maya". Like the old local line,"look good from far, but far from good". As she approached, my myopia and beer goggles had me going for a moment. But when she got next to me, whoa momma, pizza face. Urrp. Pass.

Stopped off in Aiea on the way home. Festival is being run by the owner now. Nothing in the bar except the hags and cockroaches, but you can't tell one from the other without a program. Colorful was full of the local yokels. Waste of time.

Was at Twilight on Friday and heard there was a grand opening on Tues, Wed, and Thursday. Did anyone go this grand opening? Friday was kind of busy but seemed that a lot of tables with guys but no girls. Mama Eve looked busy but I didn't notice any new girls?

Also, went to Butterfly a lot of guys singing and Dallas seemed busy going back and forth along the bar.

Evergreen was busy also, seem like there are a lot of new girls and more of Maya's girls are working.

And heard that the full crew or girls will come back at either the ending of this month or the beginning of next month.

Heard Casino is trying to reopen. But it doesn't seem like it. Only rumors floating around.

One of the girls actually "taunted" me as I was walking in talking all sarcastically like come in buy me drinky but with a tone like yah these monkeys don't have money. Oh well there loss.

Julie did come up to me but wasnt pushy. After cancelling her she wouldn't even acknowledge me later at "pass bys".
