Senior member visiting from the west coast this week. I'm staying in Manhattan for business and chose to not rent a car because of inherent parking and traffic hassles. I'm dying to check out the Newark strolls so I'm wondering if someone could suggest an area where I can get a motel room and hunt for strange in the nearby vicinity, on foot. Is this just wishful thinking or a real possibility? Any help you can lend is appreciated. I will publish a full report on my visit. Thanks.

Venturing, on foot, around Newark's various strolls is dangerously ill-conceived for more reasons than I could possibly itemize.

Was in the mood for something quick and easy. Boy was I wrong. I met a chick on CL from irvington on union ave. We texted back and forth and she seemed cool, and pretty sweet so we agreed to meet up. Driving slow, driving suspiciously, parking your car in a high crime area and not having a reason to be there as well as picking someone is are all reasons they can use to lock a guy up. They rather pick up people getting blow jobs then a crack dealer. That guy might have a weapon.

She said she was arrested just for walking down the street, she wasnt talking to a john or standing on a corner, just walking thru the hoe stroll. I thought about the 10 guys who got locked up and realized that most of them probably didn't break the law. The police could care less if you commit a crime, their main focus is to embarrass you so you won't return. Those guys probably had family, friends and co-workers who saw their pictures on the intermnet / papers.

The police could care less if the case goes to court and you get find not guilty, their main goal is to scare you into not returning to the stroll because you will be too afraid of being publicly shamed for picking up the working girls.

Its insane why are you up and looking outside your window for? And its funny cause many times its blocks away from their house and they can just see from the distance. They can complain all they want about "not feeling safe" but none of them can tell the lsat time they recall hearing about a shooting happening on the track.

I'm a foot soldier and I lost track of how many times spots I would use were locked up or closed off because some nosy resident snitched. And alot of times these spots were areas where nobody would go through anyway. People need to get hobbies man.

Our dates think nothing of throwing use condoms, wrappers, baby wipes and tissues out the window of the car. So of course residents, janitors and security guards get pissed and make a complaint.

I always tell the girl to leave it on the car floor and then throw it out at the next gas station. I have a secret spot behind an industrial building that I've been using for 5 years, and never once have I allowed any trash to mark my visit.

I was out looking this past Saturday and came up on the north side of Frelinghuysen. There were about 3 SW around Wright and Emmet, but I could see the flashing lights of NPD just up the street at Astor. Got nervous and left. I guess the roadblock had been there for so long the girls are used to the police presence, but it freaked me out. Good luck and be safe.

There have been a number of shootings on that street in the past year, so now they have a police presence around the clock. They could care less if you pick up a girl.

I don't know what happened in Newark this past week but there were police at all of the strolls! Freaking cops had cars parked with lights flashing at all 3 hoe strolls in newark. Just got home from Newark after a mongering break. Frey stroll had marked LE van 2 blocks up Mitchell by the mini marts. Still some action though so be careful. I don't get why there's that long ass road and all the girls are usually clumped in a 2 block radius.
