Hey Bill I just got to keep the "Ground and Pound" game going to make folks think about what they are doing and not playing their game, and they will try to game you even if they know you won't play. They can't help, but to try you every so often. This is the same way "WordUp" drilled it into me and I have never looked back or forgotten his advice.

It is my understanding that even being seen with a "known prostitute" on the street or in your car is enough "cause" for an arrest. For those (so very few) of us who actually believe in the Constitution this is disturbing. But I won't go down that road now.

My question is this: Given these police powers, the 22 rules are not enough. Any monger should know not to negotiate through the car window, etc. But even being seen with a known prostitute? How do we adjust the rules to account for "loitering to solicit?"

Merely talking to a SW on the street is not a crime however. The difference is that picking up a known prostitute can be construed as intent to solicit. There is a lot of ambiguity and gray areas with the "intent to solicit" law.

Thanks for your thoughts and clarification, socal-I have spent some time in socal, BTW. San Diego seems especially nice given that we are having ark-building level of rain here. But anyway. OK, sure we can fight it and likely win. But even in the best of circumstances that would disrupt our lives quite a bit. So I'm still very concerned-and hoping there might be ways to manage the "intent to solicit" short of a good lawyer.

Before I start, I'm not sure that being seen with a known prostitute is grounds for an arrest, but they will likely stop you to hassle you and try to spook you into saying something that you shouldn't. From what I've read, your best bet is to tell the LE that you were giving the lady a ride and ask if you are free to go, and not much else.

Earlier this evening I was feeling a bit in the mood and thought that I'd go for a ride around LPH, as I had some good luck with finding Angie there a few weeks back. In my first drive up State Ave, I didn't see any ladies, then I drove up Glenway, and back down Warsaw. When driving back down State Ave, I spotted a dirty blonde WSW. I drove around the block and picked her up. Found out her name is Misty, and, according to other posts on this board (and a PM from a fellow hobbyist) , she is coincidentally Angie's daughter.

Aside from her looks (actually, Angie looks a little cleaner) , they have some similarities. When negotiating the price, she said "I usually get. 3"; I told her that I had. 2 and some loose change. She tried to get me to buy her a pack of smokes, but I told her it was what it was.

She asked me how long I'd been in the game and I told her "not long, but long enough", playing my cards somewhat close to my chest. She asked if I had picked up any girls recently, and I mentioned one girl I had picked up on McM, which she said "all of those McM girls are hoes" (I didn't realize there was a hierarchy, haha).

She also talks alot and has some "big fish" stories (like the fact that a mongerer offered her 2k for 2 hours of FS). Anyway, we pulled off and found an inconspicuous spot and got comfortable. Apparently, she got a little too comfortable because she farted (kind of funny looking back; I guess you can't expect French cuisine when you're paying for McDonald's). I guess she's not too concerned with getting repeat customers.

Actually, I did not tell her that I had picked up her mother, because I didn't want it to influence services (for the better or worse). However, her "bedside manner" left a lot of room for improvement and if I had to choose between her and Angie, I'd go with Angie. She seems cleaner and less concerned with hthe money, as well as less strung out.

Anyway, she insisted that I take her phone # and said that it would be her or her friend Brenda answering. She calimed that she could hook me up with lots of different type of girls. Not sure if this was another big fish or not.

My experience being stopped by LE in Cincinnati involved two different stops for having a known prostitute in the car with me, both in the hot zones of OTR.

Once, I was pulled over by LE (after he followed me for several turns) for no other reason or excuse than I that had an SW in the car with me. When I said I was taking her out for a bite, he asked me her name. I knew her first, and when she offered her second name he got her out of the car and hands against the wall. He made numerous threats, did a full pat down search of her, told me leave her there on the sidewalk and to get out of OTR. He said he would arrest me the next time.

The other time, I was pulled over for a missing *front* license plate (right.) They immediately locked me in the back seat of the squad car for questioning, and questioned her separately in my car (searching it cursorily at the same time without my permission). Fortunately, they did not find contraband. (I suspect I was lucky that she had not ditched her paraphernalia on the floor.) Again, after 20 minutes of questioning, they turned us loose with a verbal warning.

These episodes were "teachable moments:" as soon as a pick up is made, make a bee line out of the pickup zone. Have the SW scootch down in the seat so she is not easily visible to LE.

My suspicion is that having a known SW in your car it is not an arrestable offense in Cincinnati. If stopped, remember, you were only offering a ride to a hitch hiker-perhaps to offer her a happy meal. .

That is the big risk if your passenger happens to have a stash of articles that she ditched under your seat, this could get real ugly. So how many of these gals that one would offer a bootleg taxi ride to are holding some form of illegal goods? (Either substance or parphanalia; 25-50-75?) So if you get stopped with a passenger the odds are good that she will ditch her cargo in your vehicle and you are facing a M-4 at a minimum, and likely worse if it is the wrong controlled substance (crack cocaine F-3 or 4) , and if they want to give you a ride to the Si Lies Hotel, they certainly have grounds to do so. The statute says "knowingly possesses" so if you could prove that it wasn't yours and you had NO knowledge of it being there (good luck on that one) then you could beat the rap. After spending $$$$$$$$$$$$$++++ for defense.

The search of your vehicle was likely within probably cause w / o a warrant to do so since you had a known person of interest with a history of drugs or solicitation or both. Just the facts. Now maybe the lack of a warrant would be a good defense to getting the chgs bounced or reduced, but the Sup Crt has made several rulings in recent past which blur the line of the need for a warrant being issued. If they suspect a crime is or has been committed then they have the right to search, bottom line.

In fact as I think back on this the risk of ending up holding someone elses illegal property is why I abandoned the street mongering 10 yrs ago, or so.

Took a stroll down memory lane on Friday afternoon. The weather was right, sunny and about 4 pm, expected to see lots of activity out. Was surprsied that McMick was rather light, maybe 3 or 4 of them out from the theater going north but the pickens were shocking to say the least. All of them looked so skanked that one would have had to be full of cum and looking bad for a place to unload it in order to engage with any of these specimens, IMO.

The pick of the litter was a blond who would have tipped the scales at or near a mere 200#'s; looked clean and obviously well fed. She was on Walnut at Liberty and then on the far south end of McMick later on the return loop. Wasn't looking to make a swoop at any rate but just checking out the old neighborhoods out of curiousity. No longer a monger for the street action but just reliving some old memories while nearby on business. Wow.

Forgot this one detail of the loop Friday. WSW was having a physical altercation with a black dude on the street; presumably her pimp or dealer, or both. Didn't look too friendly as he was dragging her by the arm rather robustly and she was attempting to escape. Later I saw her walking down the street by herself, most likely in an attempt to recover the funds that the dude had just lifted from her. The circumstances are no doubt her doings but I had to feel for her being dragged around by her arm like that.

In all my years I have never know any SW to have drugs on her at the time she is standing around waiting to be picked up. This is my experience, and the only time I know of them having drugs on them, was early in my experience when I was dumb enough to have given them money in advance to get them a hit before doing the deed. Once I learned better and they began to know me, they learned I had a " NO DRUGS IN MY CAR POLICY" and they knew I was serious about it, PLUS I Never Ever gave them money up front.

Most SW's who are big drug user want that hit asap, thus they will almost never have unused drugs on them, just waiting & wanting to be used. Not hardly! Almost all the time the SW's you see are "JONESING" for a new next hit of whatever. They don't have the money nor support to keep extra drugs on them, waiting to be used. They will literally use up every last drug they have, getting high or share the remaining drugs with the users who have helped them, and any money made is taken by the pimp / protector, drug-boyz who they owe, and the drugs themselves.

You are more likely to have an Escort sitting around with extra drugs on hand than a street SW. Escorts use just as many drugs and have the very same drug problems. Because they charge more they can afford to buy more drugs and they possibly have fewer people they have to share them with. So the chance of them using more and more powerful drugs and getting ripped off or robbed is even greater, especially when you are going to an escort you don't really know and no one else does, and she is a traveling escort. So Beware Of That!

Now none drug users, and I mean those who just smoke weed may have weed on them, at anytime, but they don't often have that, because of course they use up everything they get, or share the rest. I am more worried about the arrogant attitudes of the CPD / Vice Squad / Task Force, in doing what they do. They know they are running over the line of what is legal but who is going to fight against them. Not on this subject. No one but "US" cares. And if they hassle or arrest the worry person the whole matter will disappear, and the records of everything deleted. Look at a few politicians / police officers, son & daughters & relatives, who have been caught, and never made headlines and if they were quickly silenced. Even some Officers have been caught and the event kept out of the public. Just ask Mona about giving Officers favors to stay out of jail, and left alone on the street at once time.

So there is always a risk of everything, but unless you allow any SW to pick up drugs before you do the deed with her, and keep them on her, then you run the risk. If she just got let off, by someone, and has money on her, she more than likely will bypass you and go to get her drugs and use them. If you take her to get drugs, then you deserve whatever you get.

You have too many men out there on the street action scene who are just too WIMPY, to be a street action person. You have to have a real back-bone, to be able to be aggressive and assertive, at the same time, and to be able to put any SW on her Azz if you need to, or to give the appearance that you will. These are the kind of people she is around everyday, and she is use to that type of treatment and person.

Showing her respect is a good thing, but she is Hard-boiled, and she will take advantage of you if she smells weakness, often because she can't help herself, she needs the money, and needs it quickly.

So being in a car with an SW, and her hiding her drugs in your car, is highly unlikely, and Never Ever Grant a Search of your vehicle. Let them force a search, and let their arrogant asses, violate your rights.

They really don't think you will pursue a suit against them, not if that means you will be connected to picking up an SW here in Cincinnati. Unfortunately they are RIGHT!

Mind you, I would never urge anyone to pick up this hobby if they have a weak heart or are obsessively risk averse. The risks are a plenty. The rewards are there too. You have to do your own risk/benefit analysis.

For some, cruising is like surfing the internet, hunting for the hot score. Or like fishing. A real thrill when you find one, but often the pickings are so slim as to be non-existent. If you rigorously follow the rules, the risk from either LE or SW/ripoffs are slim. (I have not had any problems worse than an unsatisfactory date for years).

If you can afford to pay out $$$ or more, and are willing to take THAT risk (LE is there, for sure) , you are more likely to get a decent looker on the escort scene, tho she may think more of herself than you do. If you go the SW route, results are more variable, but it is more likely that you will get a measure of gratitude with the service.

Me-I am of modest means, enjoy window shopping (tho today on the McM (Sunday 8 May) not so much) , and like to tell myself that I have developed an eye which can detect a sting, a wigged out junkie, or a decent girl who just wants to pick up some spare change and is willing to share her company with me for a bit. It is the same rationale of how they can search your person, (pockets, purse, etc.) , that extends to your vehicle, like it or not, all presented under the guise of safety for the officer against hidden weapons or other contraband that may be harmful.

You're spot on with everything you've said. The only exception I'd make is that the percentage of girls with pipes is at least 50% and all the pipes have residue which will count as possession.

[/QUOTE]Correct. The Drake hotel is not the main hotel that these SW's on Reading stay at. Actually, after the Drake was busted a few years back, it's probably one of the lesser ones they use now. Not only does the RPD patrol, but a lot of Sheriffs. You have to be careful because there are tons of spots for them to hide on that strip (behind buildings and back parking lots). I too have found a cute young WSW recently in that area. She went by the name Sarah. Very soft spoken, cheap, agreeable, cute, young and most importantly good BBBJCIM.

Another one I've seen just recently is one who goes by the name Chrissy. Found her in the Walnut Hills area. True, hardly anyone lives on Reading there, however there are a lot of churches and those are almost worse. LE lack of experience with SWs and mongers is almost worse, because then they like to tack on charges like they just made their career. I don't like to fool around in Reading as LEOs are pretty much like the ones in Cheviot, if you don't live there obviously you shouldn't be there and they will find something to charge you with. I've had the old night stick broken taillight BS pulled on me there.

I made the cruise up and down around 9 last night, and saw absolutely nothing. Mind you, I usually cruise in daylight so that I can see the merchandise better, and do not like it when I cannot see LE more clearly as I case the layout. But all I saw was a possible SW in deep make out session with a brother in front of the Imperial Theater.

I have never seen it quite so empty.

I did the stroll down Reading Road. On my way home from work yesterday and today, and I didn't see any girls out walking. I do believe that there are SW's that stroll there, as I've seen a few girls walking that stretch before I got into the hobby.

Anyway, I took a little drive up and down McM today, saw one SW and about 4 cops cruising through the area. Def too hot for my liking.

Also perused Linn. Saw one WSW doing her makeup, but all of the LE left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I ended up deciding to take my chances with a girl from craigslist and play it safe.

Popping off like crazy. I've seen so many girls walking from the motels to the gas stations the last few days it's been crazy. Tonight 8:45, very hot blond. 5'5", spinner, walking from white castle parking lot to BP and back making eye contact and shaking her hair at everyone. A little too out in the open for me. Pulled into Speedway and there were 2 girls headed back to Red Roof Inn with some beer. Asked if I wanted to come, declined but got info for later. I've see activity in this area before, but never like this. Be careful LE is heavy in this area due to bars and the motels, they like to sit behind Union Savings behind Speedway because they can see everything including speeders. (which is who they are usually after) LE doesn't seem to hassle the ladies too much as long as they don't get a specific call.

Obviously, LE is hammering us in OTR and WE. Frankly, I am skeptical of posts re: Reading Road or Beechmont, but hope that these reports are valid. Please give us your reports about what YOU see in these area...

Yes, you may occasionally see a girl out, every now and then, but you don't see them out the next nite or on a regular basis. Hamilton County, Cincinnati and Reading LE always have a strong presence in the area due to the large number of nite clubs and the problems they create. As far as Reading LE not being that experienced as another member alluded to I'll have to agree with IloveHes, they are more than glad to include you in their revenue enhancement program I. E. The posted speed limit is 25 mph, I wouldn't be seen going 26 mph. JMHO.

Luvsboobs[/QUOTE]You're right, there is always a lot of LE in that area. Those night clubs I wouldn't feel safe driving in the parking lot without getting out LOL. Use the business parking lots in the area to your advantage as much as LE does.

Just a little clarification. I guess I would not technically refer to the girls I keep seeing as SWs, even though they are walking the street. These appear to be escorts that are using the motels, and when it's slow or they're just starting out for the night they walk around and see what they can get. As I said there has been a recent uptick in activity from the norm. If you do not live in the area I would say don't bother as gas is expensive and there is nothing close to a guarantee that they will be out and about. However, it has gone from seeing 1 or 2 a week wandering the area, to 1-3 per day. They have all been young and very clean looking, in other words not obvious crackheads.

OTR has the greatest number but lowest quality. On upper McMick you can luck into a Part Timer. PT's are always the best. They might be $$ but they are clean, usually above SW average in looks, and enthusiastic, not scabbed over, strung out and smelly. LPH can also give up a PT from time to time. I personally have never had ANY luck in UPH, WH, or Cov.

BSW's from OTR are often trannies. Look closely.

Several times in the last week or so I have checked out Reading and Norwood after reading posts on this forum but no luck so far. Reading looks like it should be; three no-tels, shady clubs, pony kegs, depressed area.

I don't feel like cruising all the way to Beechmont, so if anybody who lives out that way can report, that would be cool.

Perhaps you caught the TV reports in the past several days that told of LE's focus on OTR to "take guns off the streets, arrest drug boys, arrest prostitutes and their johns" (paraphrased). The article showed many pictures of gayly painted boarded up doors and windows in the area, and bemoaned guns on the streets.

This is more obviously a campaign to increase the value of buildings grabbed up by speculators to "improve the city." I have long standing problems with gentrification and the effect of the poor who happen to live in the gentrified areas. I am even more pissed that big real estate speculators can use the power of the government to steal properties at VERY cheap rates (yes, often in poor condition) , and pretend to have the best interest of the neighborhood at heart rather than huge profits. I would be interested to know how purchase was made, and for what price all the properties adjacent to Washington Park were transacted.

OK-off my soap box for now. But, in this time of deep deficits, restricted spending and curtailed police patrols, the city still had the funds to mount this effort to "clean up" areas prime for profits for speculators.

Bottom line-it is obvious that SWs and a few johns got caught up in this sweep. Another drive thru on Sat showed only a single strung-out SW.

This past Saturday picked up a girl named Tanisha. Across from White Castles where Paddock meets Vine. 4 or so on SW scale. BBBJCIM. 20. Just dropped her off at the UDF down the street and I saw a spinner in front of Speedway across from where I picked the first one up. 8 on SW scale. Did not pick her up because I am an old fart and would of had trouble with another girl that quickly. I guess I need Viagra. I don't actively pursue SW. I may partake if I happen to run across one as I am driving. In being in this area for 5 years or so I have seen a few SW. But I have never seen 2 within 1/2 hr of each other. Carthage was the early version of an auto mall with a handful of new car dealers on Vine St. Which dated into the early 50", maybe even earlier.

In an article in Cinti Mag in May 99, did a piece on the sign and pegged the origin to an advertising piece offered to a GM Pontiac dealer in the 50's and speculate that the sign was originally there by the mid 50's at either Sky Pontiac, or a Schott family dealership. Another account says Jake Sweeney had it built, so not clear on the orig owner but it was a new car dealership as the orig owner.

The Pontiac brand is / was named after the Pontiac Indians, if you didn't know, hence the BIG indian sign; (obviously before political correctness). So it clearly was connected to a new car dealership and dates to the mid 50's.

I have been around since the 40's, and remember the landmark sign and the new car dealerships there as a kid, but thankfully I am still interested and able to monger. So back to the orig subject matter.
