Much like the whole Red Flag laws to take somebodies guns without due process. Or for a fact taking your cash if they think you are carrying too much of it, and tell you that they are not really taking it, nor are you under arrest, but the amount of money is suspicious. Since the Patriot Act passed the whole slew of 9/11 fascio-communist laws have destroyed out Republic, and out liberties. Hell they just need to go to FISA Court, and say you did something, and bam your property is searched. This is also why I have a dumb phone, if I pull the battery so sad too bad, new phones track you, old phone they have to triangulate towers.

I believe these cell tower simulators give LEO all he needs to know who and where you are. If you buy and set up a burner phone, no guarantee of being anonymous.

If that was the case, they would have already done so to see when you would be at a Motel parking lot for those stings.
