Newbie questions answered
I want to try to help some of the newbies so here are a few answers to basic questions. (I'll be referencing skipthegames since its likely where most look for providers).
How to tell a scam. The obvious clues are in location the answer is something like " your town or anywhere". Most providers put the city name of where they are offering service. Another is the phone number. If there is a phone number in ad but there is no "contact provider box" or these two numbers are different or its an email only, run don't walk run away.
Obvious too good to be true. I have seen ads with picks for movie stars on Skip and sure enough it is 100% always a scam, don't fall for it.
If you call a scam ad you will likely almost immediately start getting robo calls. Worse you will be directed somewhere and robbed.
If you text a prospective provider and ask about " tokens or donations" and get a reply back like "how are you doing today" you have almost certainly found a scam.
If your asked to cash app a bit to prove your legit. 100% anything you send is gone you were scammed! NEVER use cash app or pay a deposit!
Finding a legit provider is a search. Watch the ads for several day or weeks. Scams come and go while true providers post several times a day. Also use the search box one USASG to get info if someone else saw a provider.
Providers change phone numbers like crazy so be cautious about calling but understand that it happens alot.
Incall is where you go to where provider is.
Outcall is where provider comes to where you are.
Car date is where you do it in a car (usually yours).
Please don't make your first post asking for info on a provider without expecting someone to tell you off. Establish yourself. Go see a provider and make a post of the experience good bad or so-so that info helps other mongers.
Enjoy the hobby and stay safe.
