Seems like going into this I worry more about LEO rather than crooks, I see a legit FB page I move forward.

The reasons they may want it:
-See if you look like a reputable person (or classy, in some cases).
-Be able to know it's you when looking thru their peephole in the motel room door.
-See if it's someone they know to avoid (or know in real life).
-Evidence in case you're sending it to a cop.

And I don't want to mislead anyone, I have fallen victim to scams earlier in my monger life. It does happen to all of us. This is why it's important to read the info on boards like this. And important to always remember, always be prepared to just walk. That simple. Your instinct was right, and next time you will tell the girl to " kick rocks " and leave. I've done this in multiple situations. Street girls and BP. If they don't want to follow your rules, on to the next one. Once they know you're not playing games it's amazing how the attitude changes. Always be prepared for every meet. And remember it's YOUR money. You don't have to give her shit if she doesn't want to work with you.
