My experience has been an escalated level of security at almost all the casinos. I travle to vegas 6 x a year and noticed a big difference even in the last few months. Obviously it varies from casino to casino but just want you to have a better reality check.

I've stayed at Luxor 4 times this year alone and have not noticed any uptick in security, in fact there is no security AT ANY TIME for the elevators-you can bring anything / anyone up and no one cares. In fact last week I spent 4 nights at Mandalay Bay, and while there is elevator security (same as Bellagio and Aria) --they don't care who or what you're bringing up. And, I usually partake at least 2-3 times a trip. Now--what I HAVE noticed at Luxor in the Aurora lounge (right by the front desk) is they will send a security quard to sort of stand there and watch the girls if they suspect the CG's are soliciting. If the girls are cool and discreet--guard leaves. But that's it. As long as the girls are not too obvious and discreet you won't have any problems.
There may not be security people in plain sight but there are thousands of cameras all over the inside and outside of these resorts.
And some of the higher end places have plain clothes security, mostly to watch for theft from retail stores and from guests.

Uniformed security is expensive. But to put a blanket statement out there that there is " an escalated level of security" is simply not true--at least not in my experience. The rules for safe mongering still apply.
Stayed at flamingo this past week and bcg's were everywhere all hours of the day try there first if you're in town hunting 3 was the typical demand but always negotiate.
