Count me as another one who's mongering career started out there. Man THOSE were the good ole days! I remember 4 parlors within one block out on west US40 and 2-3 more in Clermont. You could walk into any one of those places and the available gals were right there in front of you sitting around in some kind of skimpy attire. You knew what you were getting, no fake pics, photoshop etc. And session prices were posted in plain view, no bartering for a lower rate. I seem to remember a 30 min session was $20 at all of them. Services were very reasonable as well. A blow could be had for about the same rate as the session and FS about double that. But the best thing about those gals was that they were enthusiastic and quality providers. Not one time did I ever leave any of them thinking I had gotten gyped. Those gals gave a PSE way before there even was such a term. I would still be visiting them if they were still there.
I can't agree that things are better nowadys. Not even close in my opinion. Costs are outrageous, then there's the ones that upsell, the ones that are just awful providers, the one that make but don't keep appts. Etc. Etc.

I suppose I prefer modern photography and film for convenience and preservation, but the idea of a phone that follows me around isn't progress, it's the vile amusement of a trickster god.
And maybe your good old days were gooder and not so old as mine. (Ten years ago to me is like last night's dinner. Though I don't actually remember last night's dinner.) The internet was a godsend. Pictures! Menus! GFE! Had some great times in the old days, too, but it was all pot luck.
And there was a code of professional standoffishness, too. Not everywhere, but standard, in my experience. No kissing. The first post I ever read on what became this board (and was then the BBS-looking Another Forum) was entitled "I made a hooker come!" The personal wasn't shared. I think I'd accomplished that twice at that point, both times with a chemical assist. Today I'm partly deaf in one ear from a certain raven-haired beauty who shared [i]everything. I'm not sure, I think it was about 10 years ago. The old lady was out of town. I got a little drunk and called an "escort service". The one I remember the most was the former model home. Nice place and hot chicks. Not AMP chicks, American chicks. The place in the old motel down the street from the dinner was where I got my first black ass! Clermont had one or two in a strip center and one across the street and down a bit from the entrance to Raceway Park. Those were great days.

The first was a pretty Japanese with next to no English. Said she liked working there, and not the place next door, because in the other "Not making love". It's sort of a 50/50 proposition for me, the old days and nowadays. The great things about back then were the general "who cares" attitude, where it wasn't such a big deal to be or see a prostitute (I even knew a few cops who wouldn't visit during business, but were parked around back after hours). It wasn't such a big deal to get busted, your face on a website, your criminal records available to anyone who can Google. Sure, marriages were broken up, and people could find out information, but shaming a john wasn't the stated goal of an entire law enforcement division. The biggest difference for me was takeout at the clubs, whether SC or "singles bars" or nightclubs, maybe because I was a lot younger but you could walk out of most strip bars with a girl after brief negotiations with the manager, and most of the girls were realistic about why they were there. None of this "exotic dancer / college student" crap, they knew getting naked and rubbing your package was only step one. And no cameras, no digital record following you around everywhere you went. And it seemed like they all put out, none of this messing around hoping to get a HE, you just did, or more likely you got the full treatment.
Nowadays there are advantages too. The selection is enormous. The girls are better looking, on average. The prices are high, but considering inflation, it's actually lower than 20 or 30 years ago. $20 in 1980 is about $60 today. There's also more of a "class system", where we've got our streetwalkers, lot lizards, MP, strippers, independent escorts, and agency girls. Before, it was not as clearly defined, and you pretty much just took whoever you got. The biggest advantage today? Message boards like USASG, and review sites like those we can't mention here. They have their weaknesses, but in the old days it was all down to your buddy telling you "hey I went to the parlor yesterday and there's a hot new girl working". Now, you can find out that information anywhere in the world, get dissenting opinions, and multiple reviews.
Communication is a double-edged sword. It's great to be able to call a girl and confirm an appt on your way there. Text is awesome when you're in company and couldn't possibly talk to a provider on the phone. But I wish the damned things had never been invented, personally.
And the phone book escort agencies? I hope they all burn in hell.

Was after the Soviet Union broke up, I used to go to Israel two or three times a year on business and the place was flooded with Russian girls who had immigrated. I think that's far from 100% reliable at this point. They reportedly seized the phone and laptop of the woman arrested earlier, which is more likely to be the basis for the felony charge. To get an arrest warrant for someone not in custody purely from hearsay might be something of a stretch.
Then again, they did have 300, 000 good reasons to get that warrant. 200K of them green. Between the Russians and the Asians (and $500, 000) I'm not convinced that the Feds weren't sitting on someone's shoulder here.
