I pondered whether or not to broach this subject here in Columbia on this site, but I've seen that there are hobbyist and provider gatherings discussed in other cities on USASG as well as other hobby sites.
I've attended a number of gatherings in other cities for which I've lived, worked and played. And all have gone well. There are still a handful that still exist to this day on a frequent basis in other cities for which I'm still on the invite lists. And some of you reading this post are well aware that I have actually hosted a few PRIVATE EVENTs (including a few Super Bowl Bashes) here in Columbia a few years ago and in the Upstate prior to my relocation to Columbia. What's more, there are a few on here who's actually attended, so you know for a fact that discretion and safety (screening) are just as important to me as having good time.
So, to my question. Has there been any thoughts are has anyone considered any such gatherings here in Columbia?

The issue I had was trying to set something up during the day she wanted after 9 at night which didn't jive with my. Schedule. I think she's had some experiences with CL flakes but kept asking if I was for real over and over- evetually she got a little rude and I gave up. I couldn't agree more with SuperFlys post about checking things out always, not to get complacent even with a someone you've seen before multiple times, and has positive reviews. Last year I had a person that I had seen multiple times, others had seen multiple times, had great reviews, allow to people into the room by unlocking the door after we got in at some point, with what I believe could have been an attempted robbery or worse. It happens. This person had glowing reviews for the most part up until this time. There have also been no activity or reviews of this person since the incident with me, which was obviously around a low point in their life. Hopefully she has since gotten things together.
It happens, and can happen, we all sometimes think it won't be me, but play carefully, check the room, the hotel, the parking lot, the lock on the door, if it doesn't feel right walk away! Remember some of these providers are doing it because they want to and enjoy it and it pays them very well, that is in my opinion a small percentage. The others because they need to for the $$ and have no choice in their mind, those ones can get desperate. Do your due dillence on old and new people, google phone numbers, look for reviews, reverse image search, Etc. No 15/30 / 60 minutes with anyone is worth it getting injured or worse. Stay safe!

Wow logged on today and my inbox had numerous requests for where to find this ignore button. So here's how you find it folks.
Click on the name of the person you wish to ignore, then click view profile, when you get to the person's profile there is an option to add to the ignore list. After that their posts no longer show up.

I deleted all my messages, which weren't THAT many, then tried to reply to a senior who had sent me some good back channel info. Unfortunately I couldn't send because he apparently has too many messages. What gives? What's the amount we are allowed to keep?

There's also a limit on the number of characters allowed in a PM. If you reply and include the original message, the number of characters you're sending is the sum of both.

Lesson #2 Keep your personal info personal! Even seasoned veterans make mistakes. Maybe more so because you haven't had a problem. Everyone tries to keep some privacy through a second number, burn app, made up name etc. I'll share mine so as to remind people not to do stupid stuff, careless stuff, or become complacent with your identity.
-I had one provider last year pop up as a recent visitor on my Linked In page. No idea how they got my name, guess is from my wallet and I'd or perhaps vehicle license plate and a search. You can imagine how that could be ugly with someone messaging your contacts. Same thing with Facebook they could do the same thing. Keep your I'd and Credit cards away. Same thing with vehicle registration, insurance etc, if a dinner date or car date. One little mistake can be bad.
-Texts, be careful what you text. Even deleted texts can be recovered, or if someone is stupid enough not to lock their phone, well you can see how that would go if someone "lost" their phone.
This is your learn from my becoming complacent and trusting lesson my friends.

There is a total limit of 200 messages that you can keep, include both received and sent messages. If you scroll down to the very bottom on your private messages it shows you how many you have vs. The limit. So we all have to be diligent about cleaning some things out periodically to keep under the 200 message limit.
