I was in the neighborhood on an errand, and stopped in on a lark, to say hi and try my luck. I ran into Winnie, and she looks at me and says, "Oh it's you, okay, I'll see you. Places shut down early here in SF, so when I was in Chinatown I went to Yellow Orchid, the only place open.

I've seen this happen when people who appeared to be A) under some kind of influence or B) lollygagging around where at play but if you weren't either and you weren't trying to haggle a better price. My *pal* decided to give SF another try last weekend and checked out Golden pearl. He rang the bell in the mid afternoon but was left standing outside since the mamasan apparently fell asleep ha. I had an evening of time to use so I decided to stop by a place with the initials USSR.
