Kalihi bar aficionados are already aware that Mama Gina has re-taken Cheers Station and has pulled her loyal troops out of Islander leaving the latter a ghost town. Also since Candy Mama has finished her lease at Spotlight and is planning to take a small break, most of her girls have bailed Spotlight for new digs also leaving Spotlight as a ghost town. It will be interesting to see who fills these voids with new or recycled girls and new energy. I have limited rumor info that April 1st will usher in new teams at Cleopatra, You and I and Spotlight. Unfortunately this is from dubious sources and I'm checking with the forum intelligence service as to whether anyone has some details.
In my observation, 904 is currently the front runner in Kalihi, but it's ever evolving and April 1st could shake it all up. And that's the fun of it.

A 40-year old woman is in serious condition after being shot in the abdomen, allegedly by an off-duty Honolulu Police Officer.
Sergeant Anson Kimura is a 25-year veteran of the force, a well-known, well-liked officer assigned to the Chinatown district. He is on desk duty after his 38-caliber revolver went off inside Kings Sports Bar just before 2 am On Friday.
The victim works at the bar. She was taken to the Queens Medical Center.
"It appears the handgun was accidentally discharged," says Honolulu Police Deputy Chief Dave Kajihiro, "This case is currently classified as an assault in the second degree, and the officer's police powers have been restricted. ".
Police sources say the revolver is his department approved, off-duty weapon and that he is known to take the gun out when out with friends.
"I'm appalled at that situation," says State Senator Will Espero, "It's outrageous that somehow a loaded firearm would be out of a holster in a bar, while an individual is off-duty. I cannot imagine, what circumstances that could happen unless someone was just showing off. ".
Espero supports a bill that is currently moving through the legislature that would make it a crime, a misdemeanor, to recklessly handle a loaded gun while intoxicated. Lawmakers are still working out the details of H-be 888.
HPD does already have a similar policy in place but Senator Espero says it doesn't go far enough to protect the public and other officers who may also be in danger.
"HPD needs to change its policy," says Espero, who wants the department to forbid officers from drinking altogether while carrying a loaded gun.
When I asked HPD Deputy Chief Kajihiro if Sgt. Kimura was drinking Friday morning when the woman was shot, he said that was still under investigation.

Before that she was having hhard time paying them what she promised saying it was slow. I brought my gf to her since she neexed day bartender and mmy girl wasnt doing to good with her normal job so wanted to try working bar. Knew her so long and was close with her. I heard she got into gambling and lost a lot. Damn. I miss her. Same thing happened to Misun mama at cheers station 8 years ago. Got into gambling but she ran away to Korea.
