He fucked!
The Uber driver will get his in the lockup as inmates love child molesters and child rapists. He'll also get his at his day in court because the Sheriff's deputies feel the same way.
Plus, he will now have to register as sex offender wherever he goes!
Young *Japanese* local kid. Mind I correct that, it's also stereotype that many Japanese have strange fetishes LOL, take a look at this classic managa, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rapeman.
I'm aslo curious. Those girls that are all accussing him, are a particular type of people, what stereotypical name would they be classified under?
They seem like the kind of girls that are egotistic, self centered, conceited and think the world revolves around them. Feministic and low educated. I wouldn't call them asian at the very least.
I'm also skeptical of whether these girls are part of the accused's group of friends.
Furthermore, pardon me if I misread the article but was it "ALLEGED" sexual assault or was there any proof of "PENETRATION"?
Girls nowadays are feministic and will use the sexual assault card on men whenever they feel that they are not treated as highly enough.
It says she hailed the cab Saturday night and that he attacked her Sunday. If that is not a typo, what was a 16 year old girl doing out past midnight? Why do her parents let their child run around like that and have to take less than a registered taxi home...
JR is exactly right. This guy will be the hot new asian girl on the block.

You are 100% right
I have long held the opinion that this is the main reason LE allows these places to exist. To relieve 'social pressure' would be a nice way to put it.
It is a well known fact that when these type of release outlets exist that violent sexual crimes are extremely low or non existent, 99.99% of men are willing to pay to unload tension and have fun, look at the guns laws also, another well known statistic is crime is non existent in societies were there are laxed gun laws.

With regards to paying for sex: I think society needs to get over men paying for sex and women taking money for sex, not just decriminalize paying and taking money for it. There's a stigma on both ends, and so long as that stigma is there you'll have people who would rather take a chance at getting caught than being judged by society.

Gives the cops an easy target to raid if they need to get their arrest stats up, or show the media they're "doing something" about crime. If they want to get off, it would be pretty easy to "work something out" as well.
I don't think they give a shit about "relieving social pressure".
Furthermore, pardon me if I misread the article but was it "ALLEGED" sexual assault or was there any proof of "PENETRATION"?
Any news report of a crime will be written up as "alleged" because a person isn't guilty or not guilty until they take a plea or they go the distance in a trial. If you say someone's done something and they're found not guilty, they have the legal ammunition to come back at you and sue for slander and libel.
It's basic media law.

There were more than a couple of reports like these when I lived in LA. I don't think this guy would have seen much difference between this girl and an 18 year old, if you're going to wonder why someone X-number of years old was out that late.
As an aside, this guy seems like one of those guys who took a class from a pick-up artist, but had sociopathic tendencies to begin with. Then again, you kind of have to be a sociopath to take that pick-up artist stuff seriously.

There's a bill in the city council that would regulate ride-sharing companies like taxis. I'm not saying this didn't happen, and I'm not saying this isn't a tragedy, but what I am saying is that this is just the sort of police report I'd circulate to the press if I had an agenda.
This is just the sort of thing you'd need to run a company out of town.

Things could have just as easily been much worse and even tragic, be it a sex crime or getting run over and killed while running across Kapiolani for a cab. That girl should not have been in that situation in the first place. Instead of looking on Facebook, her mom could have been identifying her daughter in the morgue.
That guy is a predator and didn't care whether she was 18 or not. Guys like that are everywhere nowadays, that's why you don't let your little girl be running around like that. I hope that parent is happy she got her daughter back unscathed.

Before Rail was approved, he was all for it, only thinking of how it would pad his campaign coffers and personal pocketbook. Now he's up for re-election, so jumps on the bandwagon in bashing Rail. He's only doing this for votes, and to preempt Ernie Martin's bid for Mayor. It's all about politics and power.
Another thing about Hawaii. This has to be one of the only places on the planet that allows private cars to be used as taxis. Everywhere else in the world that I have been to, has had dedicated liveried taxis. The same goes for our subsidized police cars. We should only have liveried taxis, unless it is a car service.

Screening
Look you can't screen for everything, it's called the Constitution. This could have happened in a regular cab Jesu as it did with and Uber driver. As mention by others, as a parent with a child all grown up, there would have been no way my child was alone anywhere. I would pick my kid up anywhere they asked at any time they asked. So yet again, our society is blaming everyone else but the person who should be to blame, the parents. This is similar to Coke or some other suger drink made me fat so I'm suing them. No fucker, you drinking 12 cans a day is what made you fat. Come on people take responsibility for your actions / inactions and stop blaming everyone else for your dumb as choices. Bottom line, guns don't kill people, people with guns kill people.
